i agree, yes, 19 was really touching. I feel tears in my eyes when Kaori walked to Shizuma in the Etoile Ceremony.

"I hear angels singing"
That sentence kills me :X

And poor Rokujou, sitting on her bed all alone while Shizuma and Kaori is doing their great "thing" ^^;

Um guys I just wanna ask is Nagisa still interested in Shizuma? Judging by the preview of ep 20 looks like she's relieve and getting even more happy than previous 2 episode. Since miyuki also said shizuma still can't let go Kaori even till now and she apologize to nagisa. Does this simply means Nagisa will go off and turn to other?

Ok after a bit of research i have found what illness Kaori had.

She was in cronic Renal failure. in other words her kidneys were shutting down, thus allowing toxins so slowly build up and slowly poision her to death. Thus the reason for the dialasis machine in one part of the episode.

Renal failure is one of the chief causes of people "dying from old age". Unlike the Liver, Kidney doesn't repair itself very well (if at all). Thus people in their old age tend to have some degree of renal failure due to accumulated damage over time.

Kidney dialysis is an unpleasant, if not downright painful process. It's essentially having all your blood drained out, filtered/cleaned, and put back into you. It's had to imagine what it's like for a young girl to live through one's short life like this.

I've seen a dialysis machine before since I am a student nurse. Like you guys said, most patients inside were old people and it is indeed not very pleasant at all. That's not a very pleasant way to die.

--> I guess that's the reason why Kaori is pretending she's sipping a cup of tea no?

Good work on the research Vallen Chaos Valiant i too was wondering what illness she had but had not gotten around to researching it. Indeed it does sound like a very painful way to die the episode has already made a little sad but this is the nail in the coffin, I cant imagin a young girl going through that

very sad, but i wonder what next episode will be about?

from the preview...i get the impression that Nagisa is asking about Tamao's true feelings towards her? Well I watched the episode like 5AM in the morning...so maybe I dont remember too well

That let me hope for a TamaoxNagisa love relationship at the end of the series.

Chikaru is the ultimate underdog when it comes to the elections. She is well-loved by everyone too for her helpful nature.

Marimite fan here.

Although Strawberry Panic blindly copied the plot and the background of Maria-sama ga miteru, I think it deserves some credits especially in Kaorin arc.
They managed to bring out the emotion in the story. I have just wished that Strawberry Panic starting episodes were better and more elegant.

We are certainly waiting to see what happens right after Nagisa knows about the truth.
