At Tokyo International Anime Fair 2008, the Madhouse studio has presented the first public image for Yume-Miru Kikai (The Dreaming Machine), the next theatrical anime film from director Satoshi Kon (Paprika, Tokyo Godfathers, Perfect Blue). Jiyuu, that's Peggy Sue - Shinkirou no Kuni e Tobu (aka Peggy Sue and the Ghosts - the Dreams of Demons), to be directed by Mamoru Hosoda (TokiKake) based on a French kid's book. I don't really know anything about the book or the project; I know that Mahiro Maeda was going to direct it for a while after Hosoda dropped out but he's now apparently back on board, although he's got some kind of upcoming film project with Madhouse as well so who knows what the man is up to?
