Ukitake likes to give Hitsugaya stakes because of their names. Appearently Ukitake thinks Jyuushirou and Toushirou sounds similar. And keep in mind, Ukitake is probably a couple hundred years older than Hitsugaya, so it could be faternal love lol.

It's somewhat like a less intellectual and less political form of Jon Stewart-pointedness. But it's great for me. I'm not too political, and I don't find intellectualization in Bleach.

That's reserved for Shingetsutan Tsukihime, where, although lacking, is still formidable, and of course, Rurouni Kenshin: Reminiscence.

A mod soul can only be put into a soul-less body, ie. either a dead boy or a body with its soul out. maybe urahara created those 'shells' for the mod souls to take their forms in. can't imagine some wackos like those lived an actual life, they may be artificial bodies. anyhow, maybe they put them in dolls to make them not as apparent? they do cause suspicions in their weird bodies, with dolls they don't cause any confusion with their mouths shut. also for our own amusement, they are better as dolls.

Joking aside, Ukitake really shines as a kind guy. (Is he gay?) I know he's among the most popular in his batch (as shown before) because of his devoted yet gentle heart, but doesn't anyone questions his inability to score a wife?

I think Ukitake is just a big kid at heart. He has a serious side, but he seems to be lighthearted and kind most of the time. And his affinity for candy, well...

Kids love candy. You can interpret that as you wish. I'd just become worried if you see him driving around Soul Society in a big old pedo van.


Speaking of which, this episode gets my vote for best 'Shinigami Cup.. Golden". Also most fan service in any particular episode as well.

I do wish they'd have made the segue into Rukia's appearance a bit better. I mean, c'mon. Ichigo can spray his spirit hormones for a square mile, but he can't lift up a little bent piece of scrap iron? Not only that, but you'd think he'd think to use Getsuga Tenshou to blast that firey doll instead of just mindlessly slicing at it.

Oh, and Chad & Nova should have their own omake of them going around SS just talking with random shinigami.

These two episodes have great Shinigami Cup Golden omakes. (I mean this episode and the last episode.) I'm going to stop with that pederasty stuff; I really like Ukitake as a person. Hell, who wouldn't want to be his friend (unless he pulls a nasty Aizen on us)?

Shunsui has a great character as well, however his laziness and womanizing seem to drive people from befriending him.

What if, however, we see him next SCG in a van, looking for Hitsugaya? (Gosh, I hope not. I'm going to be so pissed off that I poked fun at truth.)

I didnt really mind rukias entrace it wasnt all that bad, at least she got to enter with a blast xD. The only thing i dont really like is that they placed all the mod souls into stuffed animals, rinrin looks so wierd in that chicken TT-TT

This episode was good, it never occured to me that Urahara was the one behind all of this. I thought they were more like poor slaves, or something like that , for the other trio in the ED.

Funniest moment was when the other students woke up in the mountains. Priceless. I laughed so I cried, almost.

So strange. Suddenly, now that we know Ririn and the other two are on the good guys side, I found her to be funny instead of annoying...

Since this arc was resolved so quickly do you think they plan to end the original stories arc so that the next manga chapter may start at episode 75 (since they´ve changed OP every 25th episode) or... (Continuation in the spoiler)

... Is/Are (total language blackout) there any chance to see a few episodes with just highschool comedy? That´s something I´m really hoping for. With all those shinigamis coming to the real world and if a few joins Ichigo´s school there really should be room for atleast a few pure comedic episodes.
