the ansver however is no. Just how large do you think the market is for untranslated japanese games with pornographic content for a country with a nine million population? And besides, you're four years under 18 (allthough we technically don't have a 18 year regulation declared in the law). And as a tidbit, Shuffle! is by swedish law technically being considered as CP (which is fun because I've been charged custom fees for the order where it was included). Oh, and stay away from Himeya. They really have outrageous prices, and shipping is not per weight, but per unit. Last time I orderd there I was charged $25.00 for shipping, when the actual ammount paid (as on the EMS label) was $14. Instead, browse major shops like sofmap, getchu or amazon. Find the best deal, then contact Crescent Shop and have them buy it for you. They take a 20% comission fee (using the product price) and you have to add up domestic shipping (if any) and payment fee (if any). Then shipping (but in this case you pay for the actual weight). A comparision Shuffle! from Himeya - $114 (Game itself $95, Shipping $19) Shuffle from Sofmap through Crescent shop - ~$94 (Game $60, CS Fee $12, domestic costs ~ $9, Shipping EMS to Europe up to 300 grams $13) Well, you can always ask for an order at CS. Usually, especially for older games, you'll be better off that way though. They're pretty fast, reply fast at emails and accept several payment methods. |

Sure, bravo Spuffy! Crescent Shop requires you to send them photocopies of one of your legal documents to prove to them that you're over the age of 18. It seems like you've never shopped before there, have you? Not to mention their handling fees. I think I did some calculations one time when I was considering options and figured out that ordering from Himeya was 5 dollars cheaper than ordering from Crescent Shop with all the extra handling fees. I was buying SHUFFLE! too.
If you can buy from the internet, buy from Himeya. Those extra dollars that you have to pay are well worth the hastle of dealing with middlemen, like Crescent Shop. I'm one of the unlucky people that Himeya does not ship to, but I am lucky enough to know a person in Japan who can forward me my stuff. God bless the guy. Back then, when I was buying SHUFFLE!, I didn't have any contacts in Japan, so I had to order from Himeya and make them send it to a friend in Austria. In any case, it's still hard to import bishoujo games, but not impossible. Where there's a will, there's a way, they say. |

what spuffy said.... Himeya seems to generate a separate revenue stream on their shipping charges. Add to that they often pick up older items off the local bargain bins and then charge original retail for them. I'm not saying they're *evil* ... just taking advantage of the market. Heklin mentioned a couple of others in an earlier post (just search on his posts in this thread). Well... being over 18 helps too... o those silly regional rules about who's an adult and who isn't.
You could also try nippon-export.com -- I don't recall them asking about age...

Yeah, she would fall for that. Anyway, we don't really have a law about age restrictions here. It doesn't matter if someone under 18 watches porn or plays games with pornographic content. The 'age restrictions' are only there as a reccomendation. |

Actually, I sent an order for some stuff from Melonbooks through CS a little while ago. And what's the big deal with providing a legal document? I don't really mind (allthough the fact that you have a credit card should be enough). And if I can save some $15 here and $20 there, I'll do so. This year I've bought nine games so far, so it makes quite a difference in the end. And of course, this way you'll also get those nice little extras larger shops include with the preorders. But it would be so much easier if amazon sold software internationally. Btw, do you know why they don't sell to Slovenia? Visa should work the same way there and it's an EMS destination. >>Vexx Maybe not *evil*, but they are abusing their position. I could live with retail prices for games being about an year old. But when you see them asking retail price + $15 for a game that is being sold for half the retail price in domestic stores they are at least close to being evil. >>Toxic Well, we do have age regulations. But not anyone that says pornographic material is prohibited for people under 18. According to law, if you're 15 years old no restrictions apply. |

She's really afraid of getting sick for some reason, but I don't really care if I get sick. By the way, PLEASE don't call it a porn game. I don't like the sound of that. @Spuffy: Uguu~~, it really sucks having a late birthday |

(I really don't see the problem with sex scenes anway. We're talking how eroge is all fantasy and "dirty", yet simple real life ren'ai stories involve partners that have sex.) |

The reason I don't like calling it a "porn game" is because it sounds like it's pure porn, no story, just sex. I guess that's just me though. |
