Pretty interesting start.

Loved some of the artwork, and how long is Hajime going to think Jun is still a guy.

Yeah and I agree ^, not one of the better Shaft OP mid-way.

Nice first episode full of gags, the only think that i didnt liked too much was the opening it don't fit well with the series IMO...

OP's style is totally different from ss1 OP, but still I like it. Hopefully, the animation is not finished yet like Shiroth said. Ep 1 is quite enjoyable. I'm curious on what direction they will go for this time. I'd prefer more plot but delicious Jun is also fine too.

very good first episode. jun fans will be pleased. on my first watch through i had a feeling something felt off. not quite sure what though. maybe bgm. i'll have to find time to watch it again.

A big ass welcome back to Arashi and Co.!!!!!

I think this first episode simply shows why I like the series so much. While the comedy doesn't push all the switches, it is still great fun watching everyone. Jun is super moeeeee too XD

Given the series' propensity to parody, does anyone know if the OP might be based on some other Anime or Movie Series? IOW, maybe it's "supposed" to look like that?

Considering the general oddity of Shaft openings, except for maybe a few splotches of color down the line, I do get the feeling that it was maybe intended to look exactly like that.

OK, to get the bad out of the way - new OP was meh. Not horrible, but the old OP was one of the very best ever, true genius. Other than that, though, it was all good for me.

Just watched the first ep.

Imho the music they're playing at the beginning inside the coffee shop would be the better music theme. Though I think it's purposely done like that so it'll be for fanservice and easy to color palate swap later on as we all know SHAFT direction.

I feel the exact same way. I knew the OP song was going to be a disappointment (I've heard it on youtube a week ago or so) but I assumed that the animation would be the saving grace but that clearly wasn't the case. Ah well, as Shiroth said the opening is possibly incomplete.

As for the episode it was excellent.

Well I hope on the DVD version the OP they color it "FLESH" colors.

But aside the bad OP, the story is quite great. Love the funny scenes and Yasaka and Jun antics. Ever wished you got a friend that is a reverse trap like Jun?

Have to admit I also thought the opening credits lacked the punch of the first series OP - but I'd not be surprised if they change over the series. Glad to see they still kept the album cover bits in the episode, because even though I have no idea what they're referencing they're still stylish.

Ah. Zetsubou-sensei reference. It had to happen. The sign on the door had very similar art to some of the alternate-Araragi-art they've used in Bakemonogatari, as well.

I wonder if the main thread of this series will be a burgeoning Yasaka/Jun romance?

Damn loled at the background guy saying ~ahhh~ when the girls are trying out they're swimsuits. Manga basing it has some images from the manga when the girls wear swimsuits. Iam just surprised Kaya in s1 has worn a swimsuit and now trying out what Master gave them she's all flustered, I guess it's only a filler. There is seems to be a hint of Yasaka x Jun here in this season. No complains here about that. Also KJ drawing panels for the preview of NNA is refreshing to see. __________________ Vampire+Sisters
