If anything, it looks like it's mainly comedy.

After the disastrous Tsuyokisu conversion, KimiAru looks MUCH more promising. Mostly true to the game storyline (only the Benice part got altered), they condensed the (unfortunately longish and winded) game introduction to one episode only - good! The VA cast seems completely intact, and most of all having Shinra animated is a joy for fans

Will be looking forward to it on my saturdays!

PS: A horrible ED however. Thankfully the OP is much better.

This is great stuff. I so~ not care for the animation quality or the ED, but man... the comedy is gold, not to mention its voice cast. They did a great job. More impressions here.

I actually rather liked the job they did with this one, though Seki needs a new voice. The Kenichi vibes were... overwhelming. Mihato's bouncing chest was also somewhat overwhelming.

Caps etc

If they manage to keep the animation level near this trailer, it will defintely beat out Tsuyokisu on production values too. And with the game author directing, there's little to fear that they'll miss out on the story either. Add in the all-star cast, and we might be looking at a winner
So the games writer/author is directing the show? Animenewsnetwork has Susumu Kudo as the director don't think he was the guy that wrote Kimiaru/Tsuyokiss.

No, Takahiro is in charge of series composition, as well as a portion of the screenplay. For some reason, people keep referring to him as the show's director, which doesn't make much sense if you think about it. The required expertise/production experience is on another level.

My fault - I only heard that this time Takahiro had control over the anime, so I assumed he directed it. In any case, you can notice that he is involved, because the characters feel quite authentic.

Deathkillz: Hato is _no_ moeblob and not dumb. If anything, she is downright scary. Wait and see ^_^;

Friendly warning: If you can't deal with unusual characters, this is gonna be the wrong show for you ... if anything, I'd say that the characters are gonna be KimiAru's biggest strength.

Give them a chance and a bit more time. Actually, every single character from the Kuonji estate is likable in his/her own way (and crazy in another). In your list, your initial impressions of several characters is quite off for those with game knowledge, but this is not your fault - I can absolutely understand where you're coming from based on what was shown.

So far for me that proves to be true...the cast is just plain awesome XD maybe nearly every character has another side to them

Unusual characters are everywhere though, in plenty of anime. I can deal with them, I think...

I'll give them time (I was planning to anyways, because it just feels so unsatisfying leaving a series with this feeling of animosity towards the characters, minus Ren, the only one I like so far). According to other people, the characters are really good, and I want to see if I can see that.
Mah, even if I can't, I plan to see this out to the very end...

I can't tell if that's supposed to be a stab at me or something, but if that was the case, I never would have made it past the first volume of Hayate the Combat Butler, or have watched 39 episodes of Hayate no Gotoku.
Nice try at a psychoanalysis, but *bzzt* incorrect.
