#1 Shinryaku, Shinryaku, Shinryaku, Shinryaku, Ika Musume! More love for our seaborne invader. I make sacrifices to Kraken daily to ensure the future will include a second season.
#2 Otome Youkai Zakuro. Gorgeous art, a nice balanced cast, both in terms of personalities and genders. I've rarely seen this setting before, and never done this well. Hearing Zakuro mouth off on "Jesuits" and their absurd practices, like Western shoes and milk, was hilarious; some of the most memorable moments of the year for me. But the show works just as well; if not even better, when it's serious. The voicework was also a high point; simply immaculate. #3 Guh. I can't put anything here. There are about a handful a series that I really liked, and all seem equally deserving of this last spot.

#1 Shiki, a refreshingly brutal tale.
#2 Kami Nomi, has probably my favourite male protagonist in any anime. #3 Bakuman, it manages to keep a nice suspense going. Though if I'd seen the manga before I probably wouldn't care for it.

1st : Yosuga no Sora---- lots of fanservice but don't be blinded by it, excellent stories, different endings, Twincest and the DRAMA. Overall the best. (DAT Episode 11!)
2nd: MM! --- Comedy, comedy and comedy. Mio-sama fanservice. 3rd: To-LOVE-RU --- adaptation of manga randomly picked but done very good. Waits for Darkness Season 3.
