The twin tails add so much karma to the pic any other comments fade away. oye, i love those kind of twin tails.
Hey, Bou, the pic dumps are appreciated but I'd like to request you not post them in one long vertical string - remove the line breaks between the pics so they line up horizontally.

Then that is just laziness. You can still go in and edit it. In fact, that's exactly what Shadow Minato did with Bou's post on the last page.

No doubt about that..
I was making these MAL banners and I realized a great compromise of quality as soon as I upload it onto Imageshack. However, since its free service, it is rather inappropriate to complain. Edit: I just realized that the two of you are arguing about different things. Cats is talking about the quality of the pics, while Vexx is talking about the post itself in regards to syntax using on Animesuki, such as making use of the spacebar rather than the enter button when posting pics, so it will display as a row of pictures rather than a picture a line which takes up the entire page. I love how people never compliment the NA cosplayers, rofl.
Is it impossible for Americans to do good cosplay? Maybe it's because most people imagine the characters as Japanese in their heads, so when they see a white girl cosplaying Haruhi, even if the costume is perfect, it's like "NO!" |

Oh, its not impossible (particularly for anime characters of an international type). I've seen some outstanding Gurren Lagann cosplayers, for example, at my local convention.
Its just that we more often see people cosplaying in the US who really aren't suited to their character. My friends (including me) who cosplay pick characters suited to their looks and body type. Two friends of mine played Maka and Tsubaki last year... they *looked* the part (waifish Maka and curvy Tsubaki). When I cosplay, I don't try to do a character 1/4 my age (or cross-gender for that matter) or a vastly different body type. I just think it ends up being insulting to the character. Of course, that limits my choices dramatically with my looks but so it goes.
