The Queen actually had enough of the king stupidity: she many times sent letters for the King to treat Naofumi well, but the king ignored it. She is furious when hearing about Malty tricking Naofumi. When the Queen return with Naofumi and the others, the king ordered the guards to seize the fake queen (facepalm) and the queen chant the royal family incantation, strike the king with water magic. And then let see, did not repent, still defending themselves, and still saying Naofumi is the baddie? "I'm not the one at fault here, that Shield is the evil one!" and bla~ bla~ yada~ yada~

You mentioned the Queen sending the King letters instead of talking to him herself. Were they separated(but not divorced) even before this incident?

@amatsunagi Thanks for spoiler. I LOL so much because of the "wise" aka Brat king. hopefully more people will notice this hillarious LN. I though that the king and the 1st princess involve at the attack of the pope. So, The church has their own agenda without the king know?

no, the queen stil loves the king. Her reaction is a little bit suprised but cool, she is thankful that Naofumi didn't ask for execution. Well, to her, it's just fitting for them to be punished (she might have hope that they would change)

Naofumi stays in the castle helping with the Queen, as the country personal Hero. Later all 3 heroes went missing, just after the appearance of the Mythical Beast, Genbu...released from its seal and heading toward Merulomarg......

Oh, I see, but when I asked about the heroes I was asking more about Naofumi's current relationship with them.

Bet the 3 heroes turned tail and ran. They'll probably return as antagonists. I wonder what sort of powers Naofumi will get from eating Genbu's corpse.

Still the same, or maybe gets even worse. They can't accept the fact that Naofumi is stronger than them. Possibly they grew jealous, and thought that Naofumi is strong not because of his own hard work, but some cheating power that Naofumi didn't share with them (We all know though, Naofumi is strong due to his hard work, pure hard work, e.g: The others use crystal ball to learn magic, Naofumi had to learn the languages autodidactly to decipher the scrolls he got).

Why did the hero summon tag 3 douchebags and an otaku? Was it designed to look for personalities similar to the original heroes(thereby making the originals mostly assholes by extension), or was it just handwaved?

Give her some time. Harem charm isn't instant. I'm guessing that she'll realize that Itsuki's crap when they find themselves in some dangerous situation when Itsuki abandons her.
