S2 Recap is actually Asuka's movie. For the purpose of story progression, they have to cut out all unrelated plot. Reina's stuff has no place there unfortunately.
.................................................. ..... There was pre screening for Liz and the blue bird yesterday. Audiences' reaction are positive. The Movie is about 90 minutes long.

Official Twitter messages -on the day of the film's theatrical release in Japan- include an interesting collaboration / tie-in, with interesting product description choices (possibly product placement): "In-Ear Kopfhörer ..."
https://twitter.com/liz_bluebird/sta...47859270471680 http://onkyodirect.jp/shop/pages/LIZ_EARPHONE.aspx [Putting this here too: "April 12" - "Fairytale and folktale references were also woven into the animated TV series but in 『リズと青い鳥』 such "stories within a story" are made a central focus upfront. Perhaps this film and its -even more- explicit symbolism will inspire people to re-watch and re-examine the two seasons of the TV series as well. Sounds like quite a few people are rather dismissive of this element and how it is -visually- presented in 『リズと青い鳥』 , too, however."] Last edited by Verso Sciolto; 2018-04-22 at 00:31. |

What are they talking in the new PV?
..................................... EDIT: Found someone translated it Narrator: Everyone has felt it; the envy and the despair, and then the love that engulfs them. Na: Mizore, shy and reserved T: Oboe, Mizore. Na: Nozomi, cheerful and lively T: Flute, Nozomi. Na: The two have been best friends since middle school. T: Best friends Nozomi: I can't wait for the performance Flute girls: Nozomi-senpai, good morning! N: I've got section practice now Mizore: Okay. M: (I wish the performance would never come) Form: Career/education planning survey Na: High-school third-years are nearing graduation ?: Are you applying to a music university, Nozomi? N: I was thinking I'd go to the local university M: Then me too! Teacher: It's said that the flute and oboe in this song represent Liz and the bluebird Teacher: The alternating solos in part three must be about the parting of Liz and the girl N: I'm going for food with the girls in my section after school today M: Okay. Na: The distance between Nozomi and Mizore slowly changes. N: Hey, do you think Mizore's been kind of cold to me lately? N: She never really talks about how she's feeling so I don't really know. Reina: Senpai, you don't seem like you get along with Nozomi-senpai. M: That's not true. Yuuko: What the hell does that mean? You said you're going to the same music university, but now you're saying you won't try to become a pro because that's somehow different? Natsuki: People don't always tell you everything even if you're very close. R: Your playing sounds really stiff to me. R: It's like you're holding back on purpose. R: I want to hear your true sound, senpai. Taki: What's more important than anything in this part is that you listen to each others' sounds. M: Please hear me out! I don't care about anything else as long as I can be with you. You're my everything, Nozomi. N: I'm not the kind of person you think I am. Na: A story of a fleeting, radiantly beautiful moment in the lives of two girls Na: who thought they'd always, always be together

With the release of so many clips, with the samples of the soundtrack, 「girls, dance, staircase」, floating around, I don't think these impressions will be spoilers.

Minimalist. In a word. In assigning a label to this film. Despite the obvious embellishments -in narrative style, visuals and soundscape- "Liz and the Blue Bird" nevertheless feels like its creators embraced minimalism -although they quite obviously didn't let that be their only guiding principle- which is a contradiction in itself. But also the point, perhaps. Conformity. Non-conformity. I love that about this film. The contrasts in styles. Anticipated since the first announcements, the film delivers what has been promised. I'm glad to have had the opportunity, to see "Liz and the Blue Bird" on a big screen with these compositions coming through a theatre sound system. Just as obviously - It was't the only clip shown but I also really liked seeing this "Asagao to Kase-san" trailer prior to the screening of this main feature - At one of the screenings the film trailers also included, the Yakuza film, 孤狼の血 (R15+) [Korô no chi] (for persons aged 15 and above only (No one under 15 admitted)). Contain spoilers: Interview with Liz and The Blue Bird’s Atsumi Tanezaki and Nao Toyama https://manga.tokyo/interview/interv...nd-nao-toyama/ Golden week - special coverage via official Twitter feed (「リズと青い鳥」公式): https://twitter.com/liz_bluebird/sta...48401205006336 Someone had a look inside the Onkyo Showroom where they saw the headphones: https://twitter.com/ookamiota/status/990844303260827653 Last edited by Verso Sciolto; 2018-04-30 at 03:58. |
