I think the magic number for an all-PMMM match-up this year is around 150 (because, let's face it, they're all borrowing a lot from the same pool of voters). If Sayaka can hit 150, I think there's a very good chance she'll pull off the upset.

Tying into this point...

5. The vote totals are embarrassingly low, making it hard for people to care about the whole tournament. There does come a point where vote totals are so low, you start to question the basic relevancy of the whole thing. I live in a very tiny rural town, and some of our Town Council elections gets more votes than even very important J-SaiMoe matches now do.

I can honestly say my interest in this is now almost entirely due to Sayaka still competing in this. I have my doubts that even the other PMMM girls would be enough to keep me around now. J-SaiMoe really needs to get some voters back, or I would imagine the tournament will eventually wither and die.

I think this is the most likely reason why the vote amount is so low, along with single series domination.

Extremely good news for Sayaka fans: MadoMagi is now definitely choosing Sayaka over Mami.
Sayaka is leading 96-50.

Not that good news for me, because I still prefer Mami. But thanks to the new movie, more people started to see Sayaka in a better light now, so her win is more reasonable this time.

In these types of events, it's pretty much pick your poison.

I don't see Putin supporting anyone... What do you know, Saimoe might not be rigged after all

I think Putin had an interest in Fate or Nanoha or one of the Russian-based GuP characters but they were eliminated early.

I would'a thought it would be Madoka who got Obama's support, 'cause, you know, hope.

Circumstances change. Also, a Goddess deserves royalty. And you know who the most popular royal family in this world is.

We have three hours remaining, and this is pretty much curtains for Tomoe-san.

Spoiler for Absolutely.:

Heh, a Homura-Sayaka match would have been really cool, especially after the movie.

Wow, this isn't right. Is this an upset in the works? Anyone with the latest tally since this'll be epic if the Blue Puella magi can pull this one.

Spoiler for facepalm:

Mami is now closing the gap. The HanaKana voters are at it again. They tried to pull this fast one off in Madoka's quarterfinal against Ruri. 149-87 now for Miki, but Tomoe has been making impressive gains this hour.

Apparently, the Mami vote surge has died down, but Sayaka has to be on her guard these next 85 minutes. She already is over 150 on my tracker.

Sayaka with a 71 vote lead. Mami's supporters may still have a surprise in store for the last hour, so the Sayaka supporters can't take it easy just yet.

Meanwhile, I can't seem to load the code generator page, even though it was fine this morning. DDoS attack on the code generator, perhaps? Not that I'm able to obtain a voting code anyway, ever since the recent ramp up of restrictions.

Given his taste in women, I'd say that Tiger Woods was definitely supporting Mami.

More seriously, why would HanaKana voters care about Mami vs. Sayaka? Neither is voiced by HanaKana.

I don't get what HanaKana voters would have to gain by supporting Mami, either. But perhaps Hachiko was trying to refer to those who nearly caused an upset in Kuroneko's match against Madoka...?

--

The final hour is upon us. My friends and fellow fans, may this be our finest hour yet!

Go Sayaka!!

Because late vote surge in penultimate hour by the trailing candidate? It had shades of the second quarterfinal all over again.

Aside from Tiger's Wood, this guy wanted Mamicita too

Spoiler for Going for Mamicita:

Less than 60 minutes until the match ends...I like Mamicita, but Sayaka will be my mamacita in this match! :3
