When it comes to Shaman King...well...this happened. Let's hope all parties can reach a middle ground someday and bring us the best SK anime adaptation ever.

Don't be so easy to insult someone for a mere piece of entertainment. He wants to make sure that the next anime-adaptation is great. I can't blame him for that. In this case, he has the final say (and it's for the best). Rather than watching a new trainwreck, I'd rather watch the old SK anime again (which is pretty good).

What I wouldn't give to learn that someone was going to remake Flame of Recca. That's on the short list of series I think really need a remake to see it done proper justice.

Well this is a surprise. I remember watching the 1st anime. and it was kinda good.
So it looks like it's a remake and might be closer to the manga since i recall one villain in the anime had Heel Face Turn in the manga.

I got the same feeling when watching its final anime fight. I found it too anticlimatic. Guess it was due to the fact the anime's ending was original.

So true. Since the first anime had anime original contents, I feel positive that this one will be faithful to the manga. Only thing Im worried about is the episode count.

The manga ran about 200 chapters. At 4 chapters an episode they could finish in a year.. Anything faster than that would be rushing, but surely they can at least manage a 52 episodes?

Was really confused me in the first anime, is there were so little female characters? We only had the three antagonists and some that barely appeared. Does the manga have more?

yes, from the heroes side, we have ryukitsu koushu and her two female disciples sekiun and hekiun, tousen gyoku, yukyou, The Unshou Three Sisters (one of my personal favorite expecially Venus
