Yaoi in Gundam has been prevalent since Gundam Wing. SEED, 00, and AGE all had it. Why would this be any different in that regard?

I seriously doubt tropes like that are going to play a factor in this series. It's about models and tournaments. Not war.

i thought G-Gundam was a typical grim Gundam show despite its corny+cheesy-ness
its almost like a show about Gladiators, as if the Gladiators know how to do lighting fast shaolin kung-fu that would sent a building into the sky with their bare hands then go Super Saiyan even without the need of their mobile suits of course

also the "please save our enviroment" part
