It's a good place to end the season at. They could have even ended it at the end of the previous arc but getting Zero was a pretty sweet bonus. I'm hoping that the new project they've been talking about give us the end we need for the show sometime in the future. We already had this second season after an hiatus, it wouldn't be the first time and it's miles better than suffering through endless filler hell *cough*Naruto*cough*
Gospeed Lucy! Godspeed Natsu! Godspeed Happy! Hope we see you again sooner rather than later.

Well, at least we got...closure, of sorts? This basically ended just like ep.1 from the first season, except they're not going back to Fairy Tail =/
P.S: I just realized, NaLu ending confirmed xD Last edited by Kafriel; 2016-03-26 at 08:34. |

Well off they go again .
Not a bad place to leave off I suppose. Heading off on a journey to reunite the guild. Just sucks that we'll be in for a wait now. Be nice to just jump right into that journey but oh well. At least they came back once so they should do that again once it's appropriate to. Once again that board that Lucy made was used for a good scene. Showing just how much time and effort Lucy put into keeping tabs on everyone and making it possible to find them again. Lucy in her own way did fight for the guild. Though I am surprised that no one just took over. I mean sure if someone like Makarov disbanded the guild it'd be hard to challenge him but....still feels like a stretch that everyone would just be ok with that. Good episode though. Some nice laughs with Natsu and Happy just blown away by the news about the guild. Very much a throwback to the first episode as well. With them revering Lucy for feeding them and dragging her off from soldiers onward to adventure .

I really enjoyed these last 2 episodes. I just got caught up tonight, and didn't expect it would go on hiatus before they finish the Avatar arc. I'm debating if I should go read it or wait.
Anyway, loved these past two episodes. I loved seeing Lucy working hard, adjusting to life in Crocus, and still trying to find her friends. I loved her bit about the last Wizard battle being a farce, I think I just adored the voice acting. I really liked the nostalgia and the montage at the end. Was really touching, and now I'm sad we're going to have to wait until next year most like, or longer. Breaks can be good though, and this one ends in a much better spot IMO than the last season break. |

I guess it means that there won't be any FT anime this year, since I doubt that they'll replace Hirano:

Missed this yesterday, but we've got a movie title and release date.
"Fairy Tail the Movie: Dragon Cry" releases in May 2017.

I saw some production art released for the movie way back when, including character designs, and it definitely looks like its own story. It might tie into the manga's current developments, though.

The only issue I had with the coming of the dragons and the destruction of the faces, was the fact that this is of many a time where their presence was needed in fact the second time Fairy Tail came face to face with achnologia. so matter of fact. it seemed pretty like rushed, and wrapped in when they had the dragons come at the moment, Sorry if seemed like spoiler content but I had passed through some prior discussion and seemed like fair game.

If there's one thing I've always appreciated the anime for doing, it's detailing scenes I wanted to see but didn't. Erigor's return, Gajeel's adventures in Edolas, that kickass fight with Gray/Loke and Mest/Wendy, some of the lesser GMG matches, an actual decent fight with Tempester, and not to mention all those spotlight moments for Fairy Tail's more overlooked members... When done right, they can really help flesh out the world.
