Nekogami Yaoyorozu
猫神やおよろず
The announcement This apparently has a few Drama CDs out already. No idea if it will retain the cast, but it's been announced that it will have an anime. Catgirls, antique shops and, if the manga cover is anything to go by, tanks. How these things fit together, we will see. |

Nekogami website was opened today - http://www.mmv.co.jp/special/nekogami/
Other details included - 監督:桜井弘明 キャラクターデザイン・総作画監督:渡辺敦子 シリーズ構成・脚本:待田堂子 脚本:金春智子 脚本:髙橋龍也 脚本:横谷昌宏 制作スタジオ:AIC PLUS+ If they maintained Rie Kugimiya and Mai Nakahara as the CVs in the anime version, i might consider watching this, though its gonna risks me of being called a lolicon by my friends.. P/s : Looking at the characters on the scan, i could see why ppl kept mentioning ZUN being the director, animation staffs, and music composer for the series. |

The shows I've seen from him aren't fantastic, but I do enjoy his visual style. |

If this turns out to be success, someone really should make Touhou anime (official or not). I recommends to have Marisa x ALice in it btw

The CR title isn't inaccurate, just lacking the part that makes it descriptive.
A Cat God is fine, too. |

Hm, I liked the director work on GA, and the VA cast looks pretty great, and it's on CR ... I think I might check out the first few episodes and see if I can make room for another show.

Mayumemo 01 - Tanks for Nothing
The premise and execution of this series clicked from the get-go. It plays out like a supernatural version of Kanamemo, but rather than a viewpoint character and a cast of supporting weirdoes, there's a cast of weird gods and one token human. And even she's a pretty interesting character, being able to strike fear/infatuation into the populace. It's also like Kanamemo in that there's slight yuri undertones with Mayu/Sasana, though Mayu's not particularly interested. She may be a bit of a self-centered blowhard, but you can tell Mayu's heart is in the right place. Dunno what caused the simulcast to get moved from Friday to Monday, but it was worth the wait. This is probably one of the strongest first impressions made on me this season, hitting that gooey emotional center. Last edited by Midonin; 2011-07-11 at 19:46. |

Oh god, this was amusing to watch. Shamo is my favorite so far.
As far as jokes and comedy go, the delivery [and the scenes in general] lack impact, but the cast is quirky enough to make up for it. It's a fun watch. Also, Shamo is adorable. Also, I see the Touhou. That's honestly the first thing that came to mind watching this anime. That and Wagaya no Oinari-sama, for some reason. |
