Typhoon follows the same idea as Panzer Grenadier platoons just on the mecha scale.

The thing is though is that it always seemed to be the case that the top 3 TSFs always had more or less an equal chance against each other in combat. And Berkut seemed to be the Scarlet Twins' future mount....how it was envisioned anyway. That would negate any stealth features of the Raptor.

That is more or less true, though in straight one on one engagements the Raptor has an definite advantage. On the same battlefield against the BETA, they would supplement each other quite well i think, with the Berkut and Raptors clearing the way for the Takemis to enter the hive.

I got feeling Berkut can fare quite well in Hive combat too...I actually think its more agile than Takemikazuchi

Wouldn't be surprised, its the latest model of the 3rd Gen TSFs after all. The Takes have been in battles for 1-2 years by then.

What I really want to see is how it moves with the XM3 installed... it would be a real beast then.

1. Get Hinokagutsuchi -> 2. Install XM3 -> 3. Make pilots Takeru, Hibiki and Yuuya -> 4. Throw them at moon -> 5. Profit G$$$$ (g elements) rains from the sky

Install Prafka-linked 00 Unit into Susanoo---> Make pilots Kasumi and Scarlet Twins ---> play hynoptic scenario of Yuuya and Shirogane getting butchered by BETA---> remove limiter---> profit (At least a couple of Hives is going down)

I just realized: We've never seen a TSF equivalent of the A-7 Corsair or F-8 Crusader. Any ideas what they would have looked like?
