amusing terminology. And mkv are smaller. Well, its not that big really. Seen worse -- I think it was TTGL or something that had actual monster size subs.

Because its 770mb for about 40 minutes of animation. I had the same "wtf?" before I realized its the rare thing in anime - a "1 hr" episode.

I thought the music in this episode was really good. Ofcourse the banter was a little long winded, but I think i enjoyed it. Just noot the reverse talking guy, the subs for him were painful, so I can only imagine what he sounded like in japanese.

i am still betting on the action picking up later on
now to wait a month for the next episode

btw are female lead was even cuter than the first episode. also, apparently noone in this show has any respect for the speed of light. atleast that was my thought during the episode.

Don't worry if you cannot understand backward talking. Even most of Japanese could not get it as well as myself. Some of them complained why there was no subb for it.

Conversation based anime is awesome. This series is making its way up my favourites list. I love the art, the dialogue and style.

Same here. When I first heard of this show, I expected just another shonen fighting series, with a bigger opponent each week. Its something quite different though. I don't know how I would catagorize Katanagatari, but I do know I like it!

I think this might be the only anime ill be waiting for every release this season. Btw is it monthly or bi-monthly because it seems like last episode was only 2 weeks ago or maybe time has just been flying.

Am I the only person who wonders how the sword that can cut anything can't cut it's own sheath? Friction only matters if it's not perfectly sharp, right? Clearly, the sheath is the swordsmith's greatest achievement.

Edit: I was actually sort of expecting that to be the secret of his speed, rather than the blood.

It would have annoyed me really fast. I thought this episode was better than the first, Togame is growing on me and the enemy was pretty cool, though not as awesomely weird as Koumori. My complaints about the first episode still hold true for this one, though. They should try to spice up the dialogue scenes somehow.

Spoiler for ep 2 cuz the sub is still so recent: The scene where Shichika was trying to imprint Togame's appearance by sniffing and licking her might have supposed to be romantic or even erotic. But to me, it seemed more like a pet dog or cat getting to know its new owner. Which struck me as funny. However, later on in the desert after they had retreated from the castle, the fact that Shichika had wrapped Togame's hair around him like a scarf without any obvious reason to do so seemed very touching to me. That was romantic. I thought it was funny how they just left him after the first encounter to think, you don't get to do that with most of your enemies. XD __________________
