D'aawww! Just...d'aawww!

Cure Honey is great, great, great! I am very satisfied after this ep...even though the PreCharge production crew trolled us with Honey's past. To be honest it occured to me midway through the story and I suddenly thought "No...it can't be, can it?!" and then it was!

Not a lot happened per se,but the ep was extremely heartwarming and Cure Honey completely and utterly deserved her reward as far as I am concerned! ^^

Ah, that realisation as Yuuko told her story.

What a great episode. Only Honey can sing a cute song about rice while charging into battle and give me a feeling of badassness.

And many thanks to Koyasu, making Oresky the fun character he is!

^ Yeah, that. It was such a troll about Yuuko's past, but she was so heartwarmingly wonderful in this episode I couldn't help but love it anyway.

Agreed. To be honest when Iona returned with ice cream in hand I was puzzled for a bit and thought there might be something wrong with my display hardware! ^^

In any event we finally see the new outfits from ED2 show up in an ep and get their name: Innocent form.

Gotta admit I also thought it has been nice to see Iona smiling more of late - her demureness and quietness is indeed very fitting and somehow...appropriate, I guess? Oh yes - the scene with the giraffes at the zoo was very sweet too.

Next week Megumi wants to get on board with Innocent form too, which again seems quite fitting. While in this ep the desire to protect someone (and a new someone outside the previously known circle of PreCure acquaintences) triggered Fortune's transformation I am curious if they will keep the same pattern for the other PreCure? And if they do who would be the recipients of their feelings?

Admittedly I am most curious about Yuuyu...though I guess I might not be surprised if it were another member of the animal kingdom I hope it is a person. I have yet to really see Yuuyu really thrown for a loop or flustered like the other PreCure have been. (Somebody remind me if they remember something!)

Then again I guess the emotional trigger could be different for each PreCure - next ep should give us some more insight into the pattern. After all, protecting someone (in Fortune's case related to her sister) could be argued to be a super big part of who Iona is as an individual. Well, we will see....

Perhaps it will be answered in later eps, which will shed some light on the innocent form itself?

It is possible that it is one of those things that just comes about when you are not deliberately trying to obtain it? Who knows....

Yeah, I think she's trying to hard.
Megumi's already plenty innocent to begin with. For her to try that much must be the opposite to gain that form.
And I'm pretty sure she will be the last one getting it.

Ep 34

Cure White appears in the 10 year anniversary thank you snippet! Nice.

This ep focused on Cure Princess ...

I like how every once in a while the fact that she grew up as a full blown literal Princess shows up, like with her trying to help with the cultural festival preparations. Physical labor-wise she is not much help, but she is artistically inclined and has a sense of beauty and such. I smiled happily as she was helping with the arch-entrance to the festival ^^

I recently re-watched the first ep of Happiness Charge, and the contrast between Princess there and how she is here is night and day ... *sniffs* I'm so proud of Hime!

So then ... for Fortune it was a potential budding romance that triggered the change, but with Princess it is ... hmm ... a "practical communal consciousness" of sorts. In both cases perhaps touching on something close to the weaknesses that sit the closest to who they are deep down? That would explain in part why Cure Lovely was unsuccessful in her attempt.

Hmm ... if they use this pattern then I wonder what will happen with Cure Honey next ep? Am super curious now.

Okay ... it seems that the trigger for Cure Honey's acquisition of Innocent form was different than Cure Fortune and Cure Princess, and it is harder for me to see a consistent logic behind it all now other than the trigger for upgrading is an intense rush of selfless feelings that focus on other's benefit, well-being or happiness in some way?

In any event I was kinda disappointed with the ep because I was hoping for my character development of Honey. Instead they seem to have kept to her "one note" portrayal, which is a pity ... then again, she is my favorite, so I could be somewhat biased here. XD

It was nice to see Honey getting "physical" in the sense of hand-to-hand combat more than usual, and also interesting to see how she incorporates her ... erm ... force fields in her combat style. Was kinda surprised at that. As far as I remember her teammates are straight out beaters and bludgeoners.

Was surprised to see that there was no PreCure announcing the 10th anniversary and saying thanks at the beginning of this ep too ... unless I went comatose during that part or something?
