Loki's parent got eaten by monster since she was a child. after that she was taking to Military training facility for training the children to become magician, her purpose of life was become magician to go outside to the place where her parent were dead and give them a proper burial.

During her harsh training days at facility, she meets the boy who become her training partner, she doesn't know his name and he never talk to her but he is very strong and she always lose to him in mock battle, since that day she keep training herself just to win that boy but one days, that boy disappeared from Military training facility.

When Loki was ten years old, she and her squad was sent to defend the wall from monster but they failed mission. Before she got killed by monster, the boy who was her training partner appear and save her life. While the boy escort Loki to safely place, she found the place where her parent were dead along the way, she asks the boy to stop for let her give her parent a proper burial, finally fulfill her purpose of life.

After Loki part with the boy, she asks the boy's name from her supervisor, his name is "Ars Reigin". Loki who already fulfill her purpose don't know how to live with her life. Remember how she got save by MC and she able to fulfill her purpose because of him, she decide from now on she will dedicate her life to be useful person for MC, help him with anything or even give her life for him, this is her new purpose.

Sorry, i was wrong the part about Alice and MC, Alice never met MC when she was a kid, i mistake him with someone else.

Spoiler for Alice's past:

- Alice was born from poor family, one days she got sick but her parent didn't have enough money for her treatment.

- Alice got sent to medical facility, after examine Alice's body, they discover Alice has a rare attribute, Lighting.

- The scientist want to has experiment on Alice to find the way to replicate a rare attribute so they offer Alice's parent that they will cover the cost of treatment for Alice's illness and offer a large sum of money for Alice's parent as exchange for let them take Alice for three years.

Yes, In fact LN handle her character far better than WN, IMO Fia more fit to be main heroine in LN but Loki is author's favorite character and i think he/she intend to make her take main heroine position, just like he/she did in WN.

In WN, Loki got the most screen time with MC while other heroines lack of the role to shine, even worse some heroine rarely appear such as Farinella..which is why i prefer LN more than WN.

I just read the newest manga chapter it was quite amazing, loki was ready to do everything to achieve becoming his partner, and the MC was really to take her life when she was suffering unnecessary, he is colder than ice, i really like this MC, 10/10 newest manga chapter.

She's not that bad as your describe, actually she never act like that to anyone except MC.

It pretty understandable why was Fia was so pissed at MC's behavior if your know her circumstance (her home, her "very strict" mother and arranged marriage). Let's say she had been working really hard to stay at this school.

I accept the artistic license but it would make much more sense for Ars (Alusu) to teach the guys while having Loki work with the girls.

I would like to know more about that "arranged marriage". Can you elaborate ?? It seems like the school is one way for her to escape that marriage.

^Fia is only heir to the Fahbel family, her mother has been urged Fia to get engage with aristocrat that she chose among marriage interviews. (The man who will become Fia's husband must be aristocrat, high rank magician and made a great achievement, these are qualification set by Fia's mother).

Fia is scared of mother cuz her mother is very strict to her future and always digging the backround of her friends that cause the uncomfortable between her and her friends.

Fia's mother was serve in military, ranking Major general. She already retried but still has connection in military and wide information network, if Fia make a friends with someone, Fia's mother will know their background in less than minute (except MC)
