So Mukuro's memories were indeed sealed and she was doing to Shido the same thing she did to her family. Her backstory wasn't as traumatic as I thought it'd be, but it did the job.
Inverse Tohka remains a mystery. She knows quite a bit about the Spirit of Origin, and dropped the reveal the Inverse form is the spirit power's original form. I guess that's probably why Isaac wants/needs spirits to go Inverse to steal their powers. Sad to hear the anime is censored now (the only thing I definitely noticed is the lack of naked spirits after they're sealed). I guess Shido said no to that boobs sponge in the novels anyway, didn't he? Miku isn't my favorite but if all the girls were as open about the harem and sex as she is, Shido would be having a great time. As it is now, Origami and Kotori would definitely be against it. The others either neutral or for it.

Yeah the toned down fanservice isn’t TOO noticeable if you’re just watching the anime. (though they could have easily done towel-less Origami and Miku with Miku’s sponge line with the right camera angles and/or use of Mysterious Steam)
The sealing was much more glaring though, and if you look at the Megami scans and the images of the upcoming disc bonus merchandise the difference is much more obvious. ![]()

I wouldn’t compare s2 and s3 either; s3 was pretty much doomed to have a small budget when JC Staff wasn’t even giving much animation budget to Index III, one of its big titles. (some of those later episodes were pretty lousy) Railgun and Dungeon may have been doing better, but Index got a third season for a reason. They weren’t going to spend much money on a season of an anime they picked up on the side when Index III wasn’t getting the best animation.

New post for time gap.
The next Megami scan is out featuring Mukuro of course, and as expected quite tame for DAL fanservice and especially for Megami magazine. https://yande.re/post/show/977841

Now it's important how they handle the next episodes. Juding from the preview it should be Chapter1/2 from Vol.16 which is a good sign. I wonder how they will structure it.

Right before it starts we got the trailer for the last 3rd.
It more or less confirms that they won't do any BS (which is great and really mindeasing) like with Vol.12 back in S3 or trying to combine Refrain & Ragnarok into the last episodes. This could be a treat.
