I should note, on the preview for ep 4, doesn't this pretty much mean we're going to get an entire side-plot with Erec attempting to "collect his balls"? So it's a castration & Dragon Ball joke.

Fukuyama Jun is having WAY WAY too much fun with Mariandale. And I'm loving the hell out of it. Though I do think they drug out Kon's reason for hating on a small, furry creature. I thought they were going to go the genre-aware route that it's obviously the fount of all evil, but it's really that it'll hate Kon no matter what he does. Funny, but it ran a little long, so the joke didn't hit quite as well for me.

Nah, that was Takuya Eguchi. Kon's group sings the "DT! Suteru!" chant at the beginning of the OP and some random lines throughout the song (the best being Mariandel's "Shall I help you?" after "I want to become a man" XD). ED's group definitely sounds like they sing the chorus.

Golden Ixion Bomber DT is the band Golden Bomber collaborating with the cast of Ixion Saga DT

ED losing both balls, but he seems to be well balanced again. I can understand the cute animal trope used in anime and Kon does have a point about cute creatures in anime, but not in his reason of life. That mysterious woman is probably responsible for Kon in another world. What other tropes will this anime make fun of?

Do you know what's even better than the current OP/ED? The OP/ED sung by Kon & Erec respectively!

Go to this page, scroll down to 初回限定盤B (The cover with Erec's group... sort of

) and click on the two links to listen to the samples.

First Press ver.A has the normal version of the songs as well as versions sung by Golden Bomber only

B is the Kon/Erec versions where they sing while being backed up by their groups. Erec's ED has his harem actually singing parts of it instead of random spoken lines like the OP. Also has versions where they're backed by Golden Bomber instead of their parties

C has the normal versions and two new songs, Moto Kare Korosu (Kill Your Ex-Boyfriend) and "Let's Go KY".

Regular edition has the normal songs and the Kon/Erec versions w/ Golden Bomber backing vocals.

I honestly like the Kon/Erec versions a lot more. I hope they use it in the show.

I just realized that Kon's seiyuu (Eguchi) and ED's seiyuu (the legendary Kamiya Hiroshi) were both in Gundam AGE (Asemu and Zeheart). This makes it even more funnier with the ballsy rivalry likely going to happen between Kon and ED. I like both covers, but Kon's is better.

OP song needs a Mariandale cover (either voice works :P).

Since ED loss his "jewels", maybe he should get rid of his you-know. After all, he can not be considered male anymore by anatomical reason.

I guess his "problem" would be solved by next episode but knowing Kon, he will make it worse.
