Excuse my harsh words, but if the frivolity spoiler turns out to be correct, this is a complete bullsh*t cop-out.

The issue is that there are multiple versions of the synopsis being passed around right now. The version that frivolity posted is the one from a few days ago. All the spoilers posted more recently (within the last 12-hours or so) have a different final chapter/epilogue. So at this point, we need further confirmation about what ending is the correct one. My response was in considering the newer spoiler summaries, not the old one.

Sorry I tend to self insert and when I was reading the spoilers and saw the picture I didn't think "aww how cute" I thought "what the actual **** is going on!?!?" This does sound like a freakin' copout and just shows how little the authors' balls really are by not declaring an actual winner. Even if he went incest end at least he had the guts to, but I hate how indecisive this ending is.

On another note, this ending may seriously go on the list of number 1 troll ending for the year. Expected yet unexpected is the vibe I got. Hope for some more clarification later.

Well, so that's it folks. We got the answer to the long waiting. Now hopefully we will see some official sources confirmming the real ending. And we still have the anime. It is intiressting to see how they will end it. And also the extra part about 10 years later is still to come.

Damn this novel has the most attention at the moment. Everyone is writting about it and discussion the ending. I have never seen so much people discussion about this topic before.

So ore no imouto was really popular. And not just only in Japan but also internationaly. Ahahhaah, cant blame the writter for ending it this way. Because he had much pressure at the last moment. I have seen on some website that this novel normally wouldnt end with just 12 volumes but with 14 volumes. Because of the pressure of ending the novel just in time with the anime. The writter had to finish it sooner. It is a rumour, hopefullly somebody can confirm this.

Well, but if one thinks really hard, then there are only three options for the author, after the way he developed the story:
1) Kirino-end
2) Nobody-end
3) Kuroneko-end

For everybody else, it would have made no sense, as Kyousuke really lacked a real romantic kind of feeling for them, as well as the screen time (or pages) the other people got. And even with Kuroneko I argue, that Kyousuke did not show real romantic love. More of a "like" and "care" instead of love, fueled by the issue of her being the first girl to confess to him.

The japanese sites are in an uproar with the spoilers and so are some mexican ones, judging here and from some of the posts on 4chan I think this story's novel will not be very well received. Good I say never was really into this story Kirino was just too toxic a character for my taste plus with the indecisive ending I hope this author gets buried.

^ Time can fix that. It's not like romantic relationships can last for more than three years before marriage can begin. That said, I had a feeling that their affair was doomed to fail in the end because they were too immature about it at that moment.

Why couldn't the ending been similar to Shakugan no Shana since that ending I believe was well received? Now waiting for the 10 year epilogue, hope it can help somewhat.
Personally I have no problems with the ending other than a lot of confusion and some anxiety at the reaction if this manages to get animated.

After checking into the hotel, they played the new HGAME on a laptop. After reaching a particular save point in the game, they went to the Sky Tree.

On the viewing platform, Kirino said that she was going overseas again after graduating from middle school.

When Kyousuke said that there was someone he liked, Kirino started to weep and ran away.

As Kyousuke gave chase, an itasha (painted car) stopped in front of him. Inside the car were Saori and her sister, as well as Kuroneko. They had been tailing the siblings. So Kyousuke boarded the itasha and chased Kirino.

Saori said that she had made up with her sister.

Following up from volume 10, Kyousuke later told Ayase that he liked someone else, and rejected her.

While crying, Ayase kissed Kyousuke on the cheek before leaving.

20 Dec: Kyousuke met with Kuroneko and told her that he couldn't carry on dating her because he liked someone else. He also gave her a description of the person he liked.

With tears streaming down her face, Kuroneko tore up her notebook. After crying for some time, Kuroneko announced that she would become dark (yami) cat, and cast the most powerful curse on him.

With help from Saori and co, Kyousuke caught up to Kirino and confessed to her.

Meanwhile, Kuroneko used the car's public announcement system to blast a recording of Kyousuke's description of the girl he liked at full volume. (This was the most powerful curse.)

Kyousuke shouted, "I won't let you leave, marry me!" and Kirino replied, "Ok".

When they arrived back at the hotel, Kyousuke gave Kirino a ring (the one that Kirino wanted in volume 3). Kirino asked him to put it on her finger.

Kirino revealed that if that day's events never occurred, she would have confessed to Kyousuke on her own.

The two of them carried on playing the remainder of the HGAME and then went to bed (nothing happened here).

The next day, they went back to Chiba and met with Saori and Kuroneko. The siblings informed them that they've begun dating and Kirino will no longer be studying abroad. Kuroneko simply accepted it, while Saori was shocked.

Later, the four of them went to the arcade. The siblings met Akimi there and told her that they're dating. Akimi was surprised, but accepted Kyousuke's choice.

After New Year, Kyousuke received Kanako's text that she wanted to perform for him at UDX, so he went.

During the performance, Kanako confessed to him directly, but Kyousuke was already attached and rejected her.

Kanako replied that she would become a super idol and make him regret his decision.

One day, Kirino told Kyousuke that she wanted to hold their wedding ceremony, and showed him the photo album that he had seen earlier. The book was full of Kyousuke's pictures, which Kirino had taken from their father's album.

On the day of Kirino's graduation, Manami came running and asked to meet with Kirino. Both of them and Kyousuke then went to the park near their home.

There, Kirino told Manami that she was dating Kyousuke, causing Manami to fly into a rage.

Manami began fighting with Kirino, and Kyousuke had to step in to stop them.

Manami repeated the words she said in Volume 11, telling them not to date, but Kyousuke replied that he wouldn't listen to her this time.

Manami then confessed to Kyousuke, but was rejected too.

Knowing that Kyousuke had indeed made up his mind, Manami slapped him, but ultimately accepted the situation.

After this, Kyousuke and Kirino went back to the church that they previously used as a modelling set and held a wedding with just the two of them before kissing. (Kyousuke had arranged the attire and location beforehand).

Kirino then returned her ring to Kyousuke, who then ended their romantic relationship.

Kyousuke's final decision was to choose nobody.

Epilogue (Spring season): Talked about Kirino and Kyousuke preparing to travel to Chiba to meet the rest of the "Anime Girls Unite!" members.

Interestingly, the guy who posted this was on the Kirino ship, and even he was also extremely unhappy about the way the book ended.

Quite a way to throw half the relationship by the windows.....
