Angry Identical Animes

anyone have already watched this two anime?
the characters and some of the stories of this anime is sooooo alike!!!
even their attitudes!! well some of it

School Days characters ------- Ichigo 100% characters

makoto ------------------------------- junpei
kotonoha ------------------------------ toujo
sekai ---------------------------------- nishino
setsuna ------------------------------- yui
otome -------------------------------- satsuki

Both of this anime were created by different persons but the characters personality and events are almost the same!

Creators:

"School Days" by Homare Sakazuki
"Ichigo 100%" by Mizuki Kawashita

PS: is anime today really that full that even the stories and characters were just like recycled and re-use? :banghead:

manga creators doesn't have anymore idea to create a new story?
I have seen many anime that has almost the same story and its getting boring >_<

have you experienced this too?

wow, are you crazy??

Not at all!!

The characters might be similar, but that's because they are your sterotypical anime characters, but besides that SD and Ichigo are very different.

Did you ever see the ending of SD yet? Not even close.

If anything Ichigo 100% is similar to Katsura's stories.

I don't think so. School Days was made by Satan and Ichigo 100% was made by Lucifer, in term of suckiness.

The only time I've actually claimed another anime show was extremely similar to another was with Raxhephon and Evangelion. I'm sure there are plenty more out there though I haven't seen that are similar.

Satan and Lucifer are two names used for designated the same ''creature''.

Actually, the characters in both anime are not alike. I don't see any similarities in both anime. However, it is true that sometimes, anime tends to be identical in concept. That isn't unusual.

Ja, it's called "genre." Most shows fit somewhere within the genres, with their own twists and creative input to distinguish them. Sometimes, however, writers get lazy and just do the easiest thing and follow the genre conventions to a tee. When that happens, there will be shows that are almost identical, and we tend to call those things "mediocre."

However, if character similarity is what you notice, that's a character archetype you just found. It's essentially the same thing as a genre, mind, except you have another name when you're pointing this at the characters instead*.

*I haven't watched either show, so the relevance of the OP's comparison is beyond my knowledge.

I know how that feels. A lot of anime take ideas from each other, but usually there is still something distinguishable about them. However, when I was watching Clannad, all I could think of was Kanon. The feel, the looks, the attitudes, the magical element, everything felt so identical to me, minus the snow.

That could be because they're produced by the same animation company, KyoAni, and based on games from the same company, Key.

Not in Megaten.
On topic. Well in the Kanon/Clannad example doesn't Clannad have more tsunderes, humour and "comical" violence in it?

Yet, AIR was distinctively different.

Talking

Maybe because they are the same show, only renamed for North American release?

Or was that a joke?

Stay away from generic school life romance. You're wasting your time. I'd go with live-action dramas.

By the way, just be glad 90% of the low-quality bullshit are filtered out from our eyes and are left rotting on manga bookshelfs unsold back in Japan.

Oh and by the way, Ichigo 100%'s manga is much better than the anime, though the characters are still the same typical ones of course, but story is well developed.

But I agree that many characters are just the same on different shows, but you can't help it, the popular types are what sells: moe, tsundere, cute, loli, intellectual, athletic, sexy, etc.

As -Kh- mentioned Ichigo 100% (manga) was much more "well developed" and even though it was based on an average school life (which is a cliche in itself) it was still one of my favorite read. I actually enjoyed the manga because it had sentimental flavors throughout it. Haven't seen the anime though... heard it was a big let down.

But I have seen School Days... let's just say if I actually owned the dvds, it would have been in the trash after the first few eps. So the difference is pretty big between the two titles imo.

One was derived from a manga, the other a ero game, both originally was aimed toward different demographic. The transition from it's original source to anime shouldn't change it's value all that much. One was about sex while the other was about love (or was I misreading Ichigo 100%).
well both of them first started about love but then the guy in School days got obsessed with sex, while ichigo 100% stayed with love through the whole story.

Unless you were reading some doujinshi, then yes, you read well
