Animes similar to Beck?

I was really amazed by Beck i'm not to sure why it felt real almost and had alot of development. Mostly i'm looking for an anime revolving around music i've seen alot of animes but i haven't heard of anything similar? Older animes are alright they would probably be the ones i dont know about.

Maybe Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien also? It's not about music either, but it also has a lot of development and "real" characters.

You have good taste if you liked beck, unfortunately they're aren't really a lot of other series like it, but I would second Honey & Clover as it's not on your list and it is a close second on my favorite series of all time.

since your looking for anime that revolve around music, you might want to try Kaikan Phrase. Its story about rock band but its old and available sub is vhs/vcd ripped.
