And there are hopes (from the editor) that Nogi will come back for a new spinoff sometime in the future (if not necessarily with Junko as MC).
I think he wanted to do something with the magic side, right? Maybe we'll get that Mark Space spinoff?

So, what are the chances that Kamachi will finish Genesis Testament with twenty two volumes?
Because a lot of people are saying the low sails will kill Toaru.

lol, so little as expected. people grew tired of the unchanging, monotonous way. its still fun but that is for die hard fans only.

Doesn't help the higher ups don't care about the franchise besides Railgun (who still sells less).

It really sad how true it is, Pretty much only railgun got much marketing and exposure recently.

Even the super popular Kimetsu no Yaiba sold only 40K in novel.
So Index selling 20K really isn't too bad.

I continue parroting what I once said: Close to 50 volumes over 16 years. You can feel it.
Poor adaptations and announcement moves didn't help either, digital sales took over physical. It's a natural dwindling, you should accept it already even if it's sad how well it did 20-25 volumes ago.

Exactly. It's natural for sales to dwindle when something has been going on for this long, and the way Index anime has been handled didn't much help matters.

Plus, selling 20K in a week is still quite substantial. Not to mention that the sales numbers are physical sales, right? There's no telling how much Index sells digitally.

I'd also chalk reduced sales from rising Corona rates as well, wager that digital sales are quite high

Souyaku Toaru Majutsu no Index Light Novel Volume 04 was rank #11 with only 8096 physical copies at 1st week of sales
but GT4 was rank#2 with 31768 digital cumulative copies

I see this as a WIN.
Guess people like to read online rather than the physical copies one. as expected of internet.

A number for digital sales? I don't remember or know any site that shows data for digital sales or maybe I'm behind the times. It's usually the physical book sales are the one being counted and digital sales are hard to tracked.
