What's the song that plays from 4.07 to 4.45 in episode 9 again? I know they've used the Can-can more than a few times, but is this one some famous song too or original to the anime? It sounds vaguely familiar.

Not bad. A pretty relaxing episode playing up the puns to best of their abilities. I thought for a moment they'd make something out of going to try and eat Tauros . Still some good stuff like Erza trying to get Lucy to eat first and Happy getting shot down by everyone thinking he was goofing around with the chair .

Natsu is the Black Star of Fairy Tail, tons of power, no common sense.

And yes if they continue to use the same cut scene for him over and over (like they have), it brings down the whole anime.

Haha! Really funny episode
That was rare to see Makarov follow Natsu’s team in mission.
Happy is so funny. “It’s not like you can eat a chair” Lol .
Natsu mushroom head growing sound like Super Mario game.
A new Erza outfit. lol flowing cooking kit.
All are in cooking mode. So Gray like eat frost food.
I like to se Erza give Lucy to taste.
Why didn’t they ask those people for food?

It was an anime original episode, though it was a good laugh. Kinda silly that they just had the gang lost, because that's never happened in the manga, though it doesn't bother me much.

Episode 9 was actually pretty entertaining. Erza being Erza was hilarious as always. I can't wait to see how they handle the next episode,

The fight looks to be shaping up quite nicely. I only hope they keep in my favorite scene with Cana and Happy.

I have to say that despite some reservations I had early on, I'm really enjoying all the seiyuu at this point. Aya Hirano is starting to grow on me as Lucy and Rie Kugimiya's Happy continues to amuse me to no end.

And Satomi Arai joined in this episode as Bisca.

I didn't really like episode 9. It was pointless, somewhat random, and didn't advance the story or characters at all. I was expecting this episode to be filler material and not a part of the manga though so at least I was prepared for it. I'm looking forward to the next episode for sure though!

I have just finished reading all the chapters that are out. Gotta say I am really starting to love Fairy Tail. It has the potential to become the new Bleach/Naruto/OP-like anime.

Also, I was wondering why this anime doesn't get a sub-forum. Does it have to be more popular or something? Because some of the animes with sub forums are as good as dead :x

It wasn't bad actually, fun and entertaining... granted i felt the cooking sequence went on a little long; rather had more focus on what exactly happened to the dark guild as that ending portion felt like it came out of nowhere

Though i hope future filler episodes will focus more on the other members of fairy tail... the main cast will get plenty of screentime, and i'd find more interest in fillers with the other members

Well for filler ain't bad, not great but it keeps with the tone of the series so works for me.

plus when backed with the awesome OST can't really blame it for being crappy

I think they sped up the 'cutscenes'. Just hurry up and get rid of them all together =O

And seriously remove Erza's henshin sequence. It's completely random and doesn't even show the armor being placed. Just some random outline over a galaxy background (studio probably had some left over scene from some other anime and just needed to fill time)...

Would you prefer 30-50 filler episodes in a row like in Bleach, Naruto? Filler which could get the anime canceled I might add... see Rurouni Kenshin...

It depends on the amount of posts in the thread, and this is no way close to getting a sub forum.

As for the dead sub forums you mentioned, they're from shows that aired 2/3 years ago, so it's understandable.

Fairy tail is already the 4th most popular anime on onemanga behind Naruto/Bleach and OP. It's already ranked above manga's like FMA and Kenichi. Guess I will just have to post alot in this thread then >.<.

Yeah I realise that some of the animes are quite old but that doesn't change the fact that the sub forums are barely used nowadays.

You're forgetting something here. That's for the manga, not the anime.

No, it's about the number of activity. A lot of posts come from several people won't change anything. What we need is more people posting here.

To tell the truth, I hope they will get rid of the cutscenes. Although it's cool at the first time, it's getting old. At least when my friend first seeing ep 8, he's in awe and decided to watch this one.

They definitely need to get rid of the cutscenes. People complain about the seals, but the real problem is the cutscenes those seals usually get used in.

Though as I've said before, my personal theory is that they made the cutscenes before realizing what a bad idea they were, but didn't want the money to go to waste.

Things like cutscenes and seals are convenient for the directors because they can add or remove or shorten them to get an episode to a precise length without really changing anything at all. That doesn't make them any more tolerable for the viewers though.

It was unstructured, didn't evoke any kind of emotion, and was just a waste of time
