It seems voter has stopped voting for the horses and truly go to the important girls.
Current results from Subayai's tracker: Spoiler for long list:
Keep it this way and it will be a big win for Railgun. I hope Yuigahama make it.

Spoiler:
I am projecting that Toki, Teru, Koromo and Yuu are slated to join the Sakis already in the Fourth Round. Rin Hoshizora's zero votes sums up the sorry campaign for Love Live!, who face the unenviable dishonor of having just one representative progress to the Last 32 in Maki.

If I'm not mistaken,Love Live did very well in blu ray sales. Kinda weird they didn't do so well in Saimoe. |

Saki is pulling out votes in the last few hours, Koromo, Toki, Yuu and Teru are going up. Railgun is being pushed back a bit, but they're not all out of the game yet, since Saten might sure be in top 8, and Kuroko and Misaki still rank around 8th and 9th. Besides Saki camp and Railgun camp, Shinka is still at 3rd, while Yuigahama is now at 5th.
I'm rooting for my girl Yuigahama. @Archaeon: Not all popular anime series that have good sales can translate their popularity well to J-Saimoe. Case in point: SAO, and now GochiUsa (sadly...). Meanwhile Saki is not a mainstream anime, yet does extremely well in J-Saimoe. All I can say is J-Saimoe taste is pretty subjective based on its voter base on 2ch and does not reflect the general popularity of anime series in Japan as a whole. Which is why as much as people fear that KanColle with the extremely huge fanbase and hundreds of popular moe characters might be a strong faction next year, there is still a chance they would not be very strong in Saimoe. That has something to do with how the voters in J-Saimoe like KanColle anime or not.

I don't do eigo. Not doing eigo is part of my calling card on this thread.

And people say it because KanColle is very popular in Japan at the moment. Asuka in the last few years was also pretty terrible in Saimoe despite that Evangelion series has been well-known and popular for a long time. Edit: A bit of update, Kafuu Chino is joining the top 8 besides Shinka and Yuigahama as non-Saki and non-Railgun reps. Also kinda wish that Touhou could have an actual official anime. The franchise basically has the hughest fanbase (based on the quantity of doujin works every Comiket) and a long withstanding fame over the years, it's still a big question why there is no official anime for it. Edit 2: Saki push up the rush, Chino gets pushed out of top 8 but Yukinon joins it instead.

The difference is striking, this time the most victims of vote removal are the entire Railgun characters and Shinka, while the top 4 Saki remain. Good things are Yui and Yukinon make it, also Kanon and Chino managed to get in as well.

Saki - 16 characters (half of them ) PMMM - 5 characters Kin-iro Mosaic, Gochiusa, Yahari, TAMNI - 2 characters each Nisekoi, Love Live, KamiNomi - 1 character each This is going to be a great month.

Third round results:
http://pastebin.com/8WgCmWBn I will never understand how AST voters work. Only 3 of the 16 that advanced from second repechage made the top 8 of third repechage. Also, vote deletion was bad today (over 300 deleted). Quote:

Well...
1. No horses 2. Railgun votes getting removed...well, if I'm not wrong the Railgun bloc is probably Mainland China voters, so no surprises...same with Nibutani 3. Lovelive officially proves that they're pretenders... 4. Surprise amount of love for Yukinon. Guess Yukinon and Yuigahama didn't just go this far just b/c of anti-voting. Top 32, half Saki, although PMMM Is still more likely to win again (This time probably Homuhomu's turn...).

In the end I have to agree with the discussion from before that there should be a restriction on the amount of characters from the same series to compete in one tournament, Saki's case is really off-putting and does not encourage other series' growth. And then if KanColle is any strong next year, it would be a disaster. Also there should be a ban on champion series not to compete in at least 2 years after they win it all, but could make exceptions if there are new contestants to the tournament from the same series.
