I was wrong by about as much as you could be for yesterday's results. I didn't think Lemon had a chance and she ended up winning. Ghutatan takes last place while Tsukasa takes first. I figured Tomoka was a lock to beat Miki despite the split vote and she ends up losing. If you removed Aoi, Tomoka needed 76% or more of Aoi's votes (with the remaining going to Miki) to tie. Probably means split vote didn't cost her the match but it would have been much closer with a more neutral third character.
Today's first match is between 3 of the weakest characters in the tournament and one of them will get to advance to Round 2. It could really be any of the three since none of them really have too big a fanbase in Saimoe. I'm going with Yuka winning somehow. The characters in the second match aren't that strong either but they are still way ahead of all the characters in the first match. Higurashi isn't what it used to be and Kanade turned out to be disappointingly weak. Isumi should still have what it takes to win even if she might have some trouble. Izumi could have won if she was in Isumi's match. Taeko might have won if she was in Yuka's match. However, they both get the pleasure of being stomped by Akari instead. This match will let Akari show off a bit and hopefully send a message to the Saki fanbase that the tournament winner has not yet been decided. Votes: Amakusa Shino Hanyuu Akaza Akari Prediction: Hanaki Yuka Saginomiya Isumi Akaza Akari

There goes the triple Saki assassination that I hope Mokkan would do. Not sure how much Saki strategic voting comes in when it comes to Miki v. Mokkan, though (Miki is definitely weaker than Mokkan = easier for Kodomo)
Well, 1-2 today (Total 9-3 for Group A). Lemon and Usamin are pretty much equal strength, so Lemon > Usamin is not a huge surprise. Ayatsuji wins relatively easily as expected. Moving to Group B: Vote: B-01: <<花木優香@夏色キセキ>> B-05: <<鷺ノ宮伊澄@ハヤテのごとく! HEAVEN IS A PLACE ON EARTH>> B-09: <<赤座あかり@ゆるゆり>> Prediction the same (Yuka, Isumi, Akarin). B-01 is really a joke, B-05 only slightly better, and Akarin will triple the rest of the bunch in B-09 P.S. Code for me today! Too bad I'm normally at work 2335 Japan Time and I can only get code from my home computer... Quote:

Group A Awards--
The "It's Official, You Suck" Award: Himari Takakura w/ a pathetic 41 votes. The "Out of Left Field" Award: Remon Yamano for winning despite getting in via the 2nd Prelims and facing two characters who got in via the 1st. Guesses: Yuka, Isumi, & Akari. The latter two in a curbstomp.

The bigger surprise is Miki > Mokkan anyway. Both are in a strong prelim group (Group 9 and 16, respectively), but Mokkan did finished 2nd and gets 10% more vote overall (35% for Mokkan, 25% for Miki).

Assassination incoming from the Saki faction to ensure Toki's quarterfinal. So far fake votes have been nearly nonexistent except for that one super obvious attempt in prelims, so I think we can actually trust the tracker on this one.

I was going to support Akari thinking that she would be Toki's competition for the block finals, but it would be more interesting if my true favorite in the match Izumi Segawa (2nd favorite Hayate character trailing only Hinagiku) finds a way to win and avoid being eliminated in the first round.
(So much for losing interest in AST after Tomoka lost.) Since the theory of the Saki snipe is being mentioned against Akari, are they sure it's Akari they want to snipe, since Hayate always has at least one rep in the top 8? (outside of 2011 when they weren't eligible for AST) Oh and for the other two matches, supporting: Shino Amakusa / Isumi Saginomiya
