Spoiler for MC's sister:

The MC's real sister is the blue (same color as the MC) ponytail girl who's also from the elite unit as origami. I think she's his big sis. She has amnesia at first but slowly recover it.

BTW, Date A Live manga ch 1 has been scanlated now. The art looks different from in LN, kind of inferior, but the style is actually the same. I don't know why they look different though. The art in manga version looks a bit ugly imo, don't know why.

Design-wise, Kotori and Kurumi are my most favorite ones.

Kotori has an imouto mode with tsundere and playful tease and commander mode with tsun and S. And with that, it's impossible for Kotori to not be my favorite. I love yandere too and given Kurumi's design and my assumption of her character type and personality based on my many years worth of otaku knowledge, I'd most likely love her, maybe even more than Kotori.

I hope the translation for this LN will retain most of the laughters in romanji, especially since it has a sadistic and yandere character. Really, I wonder which laughter Kotori (in commander mode) and Kurumi uses. Fufufu, or fwahahah, or guwahaha, or kekke?

She's actually his real imouto, which is why she and Kotori were bickering about who was his imouto at one point.

The manga art isn't as bad as some of you put it, to be fair. It's a different style all right, but I guess the novel illustrations are superior. The style the manga artist uses is actually quite decent, in my opinion.
