Heh, those were Aussie dollars by the way.

I brought a Steyr Elite in .308 with the magazine extension kit, two ten round magazines and put a Nikon Monarch 6.24x50mm scope on it.

The optics and mounts were $1200 of the $5500 spent.

Just waiting for the permits to clear and the rifle to be shipped to the dealer. So excited.

Woah. I heard that that Belldandy figure is super rare, and only shows up at auctions for killer prices. Was it limited run?

A friend of mine heard a rumor about the original owner in financial trouble and needed to sell his anime collection. I was lucky enough and got it at a killer price.

I have been tracking the 2nd release on ebay for over 10 years and price do range a lot. I would love to have the 2nd release figure too along with the Wind statue

If I can ever EVER find it.

Ah, Aludra. Never has a razor cock appeared so sexy... er did I just say that out loud?

Nice haul. Razor cock has been pretty cheap these days, I guess it's hard to sell something like that to most people. I had friends come over just to see her because they thought she was too strange and couldn't believe I actually bought her. Not much of a fan of slow/violin death girl, but Yuko looks good and Maria is cute as well.

I recently got Index, and Black Rock Shooter was supposed to arrive yesterday but due to an address mixup she'll hopefully arrrive today. That's only 404 days since I pre-ordered her....

Thanks. Index has turned out great, as expected of GSC

After some research, I'm starting to think that my Lucy "Ruuko" Maria is actually a bootleg figure. I have this version and the painting is not as glossy as in this review. Yet there were (at least) two releases of her so that might be the cause.
Not that I'm complaning though, since she still looks okay for a figure from 2006. If it is, I wish all bootleg would share the same qualities

Any thoughts on the matter?

It won't be out for a while, but I'm looking forward to this - Protector, from FansProject.

It's a trailer/armour kit which allows one to convert the Classics/Henkei figure of Hot Rod and turn him into Rodimus Prime!

(I hope they do a 'Despoiler' version one day, to echo the goatee-wearing evil counterpart of Rodimus in the Shattered Glass universe.)

Bootlegs tend to be shinier than the official, at least that I've seen. And they tend to be quite different in quality, usually incredibly obvious and poor.

One thought about the shininess in other reviews. When I first started writing reviews and wasn't so great with my lighting, I'd often get figures that looked quite shiny when they weren't. Depending on where the camera is and how the light is dispursed and reflecting it can have a huge impact on how a figure looks.

Edit, oh yeah, Black Rock Shooter finally arrived. Only took 404 days since I ordered her....

It's definitely massive. I vaguely recall people saying such, but I really didn't expect the size I received. It looked like there had to be at least 2 large figures in that shipping box, but nope!

In case of Kotobukiya the glossy paint is their trademark, that's why it's strange

I've also seen her at the local store, it certainly is a big *ss box. I prefer her anime version and planning to get the GSC figure of it. I wonder how big that box will be?

On the other hand, I was astonished by the Sega Strike Witches figure's boxes. The figures are about the same height and width of the QB Aldra, yet the box is one quarter of the Megahouse's product! That's what I call tight packing!!!

So the stripped down version of BRS just got delayed. No surprise there.

Taking on bets on how many times BRS related merchandise will be delayed before we actually get our hands on them. I want my Dead Master damn it!

I found it funny that in BRS's box was an add for stripped down BRS.

No problem, I only want GSC's anime version (and the figma)

But before that I would actually like to see the anime, to decide whether I like the character enough to buy a figure of it

I've actually been good at not buying figures I haven't bought one in over a year was running out of room and keeping control of myself.

But dam it where is my Good Smile Triela it was suppose to be released in Dec and still no word. That one I plan on buying 2 just to keep 1 in the box mint.

And the next Strike Witches figure from kotobukiya or alter is Trude and not my beloved Mio. Oh the rage the rage hurry up I can't wait.

No kidding. I watched Gunslinger Girl for the first time about a month ago and was totally psyched when I saw that GSC was coming out with Triela.

$37 for an accessory like that? Way too expensive, I could buy a new Nendoroid with that money.
