Can't go wrong with some old school De La Soul:

Some 2 Live Crew is also good once in a while:

Also like me some solo Luther "Uncle Luke" Campbell on occasion (a.k.a Luke Skyywalker):

Sean P , Nas , Jay , Talib , Roots , Pharaoh and i probably forgot to mention a whole lot but those where Lyricists and nowadays you just gotta be able to rhyme. Even the beat got slower over the years so you can rap easier. And in the clubs where they play hiphop nowadays everybody so wasted they cannot even follow one decent line so lets repeat lines lol

Itīs all good tho you need sucky shit to recognize the Greats

I found this remix to Mos Def's "Next Universe" last month, and it's almost as good as the original.

Of course. It's easily one of my favorite Mos tracks.

Good song, thought that beat is a bit whack in my tastes. But common is still good.

I only like around 4 songs from Notorious and this is defiantly the top one because of the chorus and beat.

Nas with his new track its awesomeee

I'm pretty odd in my tastes of rap music, since while I like a lot of the intelligent rap (and especially like anyone with clever lyrics and complex use of rhyme and related concepts), I still like some of the lowbrow "gangsta" stuff.

I still haven't listened to ALL the things I should have listened to by now as a hip-hop fan, just haven't got caught up yet.

Kendrick Lamar's Section.80 is my rap album of the year. Fantastic stuff.
