Hmm...I dunno. I think it could work as a season, but hey - been wrong plenty of times before. My first thought was that they were kinda testing the waters, but we shall see. ^^

Idk how to feel about this. Mixed thoughts on it right now.
It's one of my favorite fantasy manga in recent years but a prequel? Maybe this will get recognition for an eventual TV anime adaptation (from Production IG, a studio that I think is perfect for this series). The manga still doesn't have too much content I guess. Still happy to see some sort of anime though

What!? Be still my heart. His voice has the deep resonance you can kind of envision for Elias' character, but still sounds rather youngish. Emphasis on the ish part.

That preview looked amazing. They really captured the beauty of the several of the locations we see. I wish we had gotten to hear a few more lines from Elias though.
Several of those scenes were straight from the manga. So far this really didn't seem like a prequel.

Oh...oh my freaking... O.O
That looks aMAZing! Just...whoa. Gotta agree...a fair amount of it does not seem too be "prequel" material. Wow. Extra looking forward to these!

Looks real nice... but yeah, how exactly is this a "prequel"? I recognised everything as scenes from the manga except the one with Chise on the building at the start (and one or two bits seemed more like conceptual versions of manga scenes)
Maybe it's something more like the first volume is a prequel and then it enters the main story...? |

That trailer was gorgeous. I was a bit peeved that we'll be getting OVAs instead of a TV series, but if the studio can maintain this kind of quality, I think the wait will be worth it.
Atsumi Tanezaki was pitch perfect as Chise. And I can't wait to hear Kouki Uchiyama as Ruth. (Is it just me, or does Ruth look younger in the anime than in the manga? Granted, we only saw him for two seconds, but still...) Last edited by mweloo; 2016-03-10 at 02:01. |

Chills...that PV gave me chills. My twintails tremble in anticipation.
Lovin' this...I know it won't be perfect by I hope the adaptation does a good enough job to convey the overall atmosphere & subtleties as well as interesting character developments & interactions. Please future internet fanbase...as futile as it may seem at times, please don't ruin, taint or sexualize their relationship.

You got it wrong. This PV is just a PV for the manga. And PV for OVAs will come later. Looks like the director is a big fan of original manga. He personally asked Production I.G. head to make this anime.
