I think IS would have done better without the highschool setting. Just me. It would've been better if they had like a different forced communal training center for it then have the students go through a regular school life. Go more in depth with how they live. and how character interactions impact them.

Anyway, at this rate there's two way to do it
1. Play it exactly as novel... then portray how female also suffer from it.
2. Fuck canon, I.S. just another weapon, with only select few EVEN AMONGST WOMEN can do it.

And if you ask me, the second point is easier to write. I mean, entire class 1-1 were stupid enough to think Ichika as 'just another male'. That's the kind of dumb society we're talking here.

Also, Ichika need to totally flaunt his name at the bitch in the clothing shop. Because.

What would flaunting his name do? Ichika's rare to be sure but as of right now it's not him that's important; its his genes. Ichika has no connection with any corporations nor does he have the direct backing of the Jap government - Hell they wanted to dissect him before he was enrolled. His 'status' amounts to squat.

What are the rest of the girls even doing at the academy? There's 367 cores and I can only assume that there's just as many if not more students than that. If that's the case where do they go once they graduate apart from becoming IS researchers if they're not reps? I fail to see how learning to pilot a sports machine (yeah right) can allow you to get a job in business or medicine.

Speaking of which, THAT really bugs me: WHY in the hell can males only get blue collar jobs!? This is retarded! The workforce would collapse in on itself if they suddenly fired and refused to hire talented people because they have XY chromosomes. This would also screw up college big time since it gimps the opportunities of people.

How do they move onto 'elite colleges'? ISA doesn't seem to teach normal high school subjects like history, biology, normal mathematics, english language etc etc. Even if they get to college they're going to be pigeonholed into engineering courses since all they seem to be thought is machinery.

Anyway, someone wrote something like this in the 10 past pages 'I wonder if the pilots are taking drugs to pilot their IS' or something of the same kind.

The IS is connected to your conscience when you're piloting, right? So, it would be normal that at the beginning of an IS pilot's training, they practice slowly and during a short amount of time. With time passing, they increase the level of difficulties and etc. Of course, they need doctors which follow them to see if everything is alright, physically and mentally. I'm pretty sure you could become insane if an IS was connected with you for too long.

It could be the reason why all the pilots are so young.
