Yay!! Thanks to BakaNeko ^_^ I'm excited!

Since they're a new group, the torrent probably won't appear on AnimeSuki for awhile...

I'm not sure why it's not available on AnimeSuki yet, but you can get it from http://www.baka-updates.com/releases.php

Enjoy!

Sorry about the late release, Episode 3 is almost ready too though.

We're not really a new group, although I can't say we're that much experiences.

Some of us are from Bleach7.com (we were subbers first as kancho, then Anime7 for PoT movie), and now we fused with some other new group of experienced subbers and named ourselves BakaNeko.

But yeah, they won't add it to animesuki until they "verify" it.

The first episode wasn't bad for a weird random filler (since it's a made-up intro story that's not in the manga). Yay Kagura-chan ~

Good thing it looks like they'll stick to the manga starting with episode 3. ^^

Good job on the fansub... but Katsura's nickname is "Zura", not "Tsura" ..... fansub error. :P Other small error was there was no subtitle when they opened the door to scream... they were screaming "BA!" "KA!" "NA!", which I thought was pretty funny... :P

Thanks for the feedback. For the Zura/Tsura issue, it's an editing choice I guess, unless you tell me there's somewhere official where it's written in romanji.

And sorry about my translator missing that ba ka na thing..

Hmm... looked around the manga for a panel of Gintoki talking to Katsura:

So yeah, it says Zura there ("tsu" and "zu" are not written the same in japanese) , and he always says Zura, so it's definately official ^_^

alright, will try to remember when he'll be back around and let my translator know. But I know she worked on the manga too so that's weird. But she probably went by sound.

I watched the episode: great work guys!!! I didn't notice the Zura/Tsura thing, it doesn't matter a lot for me...^^

But I have a question: will you sub the OVA Jump Festa? I saw the raw on Youtube and it's hilarious!! (that's the Hanami part which correspond to chapter 17 of the manga)

Oh, I only saw 4 minutes of the ova and it seemed to be chapter 1-2 (like episode 3 is). Well our encoder do have the dvd of it so I'll look into it. Episode 3 is basically ready, but next week's episode will be delayed, translator is on break. So we'll try to do the festa when we have time for it.

Watched episodes 1-2 just now. Pretty good overall. Whilst I didn't find it as funny as some people, I still laughed out loud at a couple of points. It's done enough to keep me interested for the time being.

As for the subs, they were decent overall, maybe it was just me but I noticed some lines would disappear before I got the chance to read through them(and I'm usually a pretty quick reader) and there were a couple of grammatical errors but nothing that really ruined it for me.

ZOMG What is Dae Jang Geum doing in anime?! -.-

On-topic:
Woah Gintama is extremely funny! The parody works so well here, unlike Excel Saga (that is a total miss for me). I hope it doesn't get dragged on and on, although I can't really see a parody going on for long. :\

^Yeah, I think the timing's a bit too fast at certain parts. Especially when they are looooong lines, I couldn't really catch up. O.o;

They talk really fast in the anime too. All the japanese I talked to about Gintama said the first time they watched it they couldn't understand everything going on.

By the way, it might get dragged on and on, the manga is in the top 5 in japan and is at it's 13th or 14th volume I think.

Oh and after this class I'm going home to make the torrent for episode 3. Look forward to it.

This show is going to take me a while to warm up to. At this point, I find it annoying & funny (bad combo) and I can't sit through an entire episode without having to pause on a scene every-now-and-then to stop and fully read/understand just what the hell is going on. Some of the humor is poorly timed (and over done), but I understand why they’re mining for laughs…but their timing though...woof.
