Addicting animes?

Any animes you have been addicted to? Like staying up late nights watching the next episode. (like One Piece for me )

Also Anime animes like One Piece? Not talking about pirates, but Fun and Adventure?

I like multi-tasking animes. I watch 3 or 4 animes at a time

I was glued to the screen addicted to Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. Just like a great mystery novel, it's impossible to look away!

I agree. My first time watching it, I turned off all of the lights at night and marathoned about three arcs (approximately half of the first season), and finally went to sleep sometime after 3 AM. I then marathoned the rest of the first season the next day.

Also, Full Metal Panic! had me pretty hooked. I think I watched all three seasons in three or four days.
To some extent, Code Geass as well, but not nearly as much.

That would be Suzuka, Eureka Seven, Claymore, Naruto, Bleach, Cardcaptor Sakura, and REC.

Hikaru no Go - its not only some board game, its an EXTREMELY addictive board game

FUll metal Alchemist - almost every episode ends with a cliffhanger

Gantz - totally glued because you wouldnt know who might die next

Gundam Seed - not sure whether it was because this was the first gundam I saw but it was really addictive after the first few episodes

Hunter X Hunter - ....at a certain point

Angelic Layer - loved it even though it might look childish. The fights are wonderfully animated

I finished Full Metal Panic (all 3 seasons) in about 2 days. I also watched Eureka Seven only having eaten 2 meals over the duration of my marathon. The only other shows that have really kept me going straight were Naruto and Bleach.

edit: I forgot to mention Canvas 2 and ef A Tale of Memories

Monster, Twelve Kingdoms, Noein, and Hikaru no Go did that for me. If Shion no Ou was already complete, I'm pretty sure I would watch that from end to end as well.

Nowadays I usually watch on an as-released basis. Shows that I always anticipated and watched nearly immediately when episodes were released include Bartender, Dennou Coil, Hataraki Man, Moyashimon, Nodame Cantabile, Saiunkoku Monogatari, and Welcome to the NHK!.

Wolf's rain was addictive to me, Tenjou Tenge, NGE, Innocent Venus, Black Blood Brothers, Basilisk, Noir, Naruto, Twelve Kingdoms, Kino no Tabi, Kenichi, Iroha, Saiunkoku Monogatari... Even Mushishi was addictive, despite its episodic nature... guess it says more about me than the anime

Eureka Seven, Full Metal Alchemist, Honey and Clover, Mushishi, Hunter x Hunter.

yeah, some of them are not action types, but they can be just as fun and addicting. I suppose drama does that for you.

If you liked One Piece then I'd suggest Hunter x Hunter as some above me had already stated.

I'm not even going to lie. I watched the first few episodes (the first chapter) after spoiling myself the entire plot and the game through Wikipedia, and I got so scared, it's not even funny. I couldn't sleep well that night, especially because my bed gives me a good vision of the black screen and an empty distance of ground inbetween, where I feel that a Higurashi girl can pop up and... Damn...

Back on topic, I was heavily addicted to series when I first started Anime (I repeatedly watched parts of FMA, Elfen Lied, Love Hina, Cowboy Bebop, KimiNozo, Death Note, etc. etc.). This doesn't apply so much anymore. After I'm done a series, I tend to not revise it very often. Of course there's always the odd case in which you want to refresh your memory or feel nostalgic..
