Interesting ending.

I guess one of the most interesting and most appealing part of this series is the interaction betweein Horo and Lawrence, both light hearted parts as well as the more serious conversations.
The best part for this episode was where Horo although trying to hide her true feelings but is pushed by emotion, confronts Lawrence asking which he cared more, Horo or Nora and Lawrence being the naive and honest one not understanding the true nature of the question answers with logic which really drove Horo up the walls.

Lawrence acts out the honest and logical voice while Horo was the more emotional and yet wise part. You could say it was the opposite of usual gender based personality building which I thought made it more interesting.

I would love to see another arc where Lawrence is challenged by another male for the heart of Horo and Horo plays hard to get with Lawrence.

Despite the fact that the series should have been longer I still really enjoyed my viewing of it. Pretty darn good ending to a enjoyable series. Can only hope for another season.

I gave it a 7 because they did not show what happened with last scene from the previous episode. I wanted to see the fight.

So what did she mean as mature ways? How did she settle the whole thing with the big wolf?

Watch the episode? What would the fun be if we just tell you?
If you really want to know.

Yup Definitly. Second season will be here sooner or later *_*. But I dont think Horo actually killed them. He just throw them around, the same way as she did few episode ago, against those other bunch.

Ah well, theoretically all currently available S&W novels should arrive at my house in about two weeks..... Gonna miss listening to the work of the two voice actors though...
Ahhh lucky you *_*. But wasnt Spice and wolf writen in Manga format? How far furthere is the Novel ( manga) from where anime ended, I wonder.

P.S. But wow, Horo can really be wild. I wasnt expecting that at all ( well probably i should haved since she was a wolf after all). But she was willing ( and it seemed she actually wanted) to kill the rest of those guys. I thought her cuteness was kind of downgraded for me in this episode. Her other side ( personality ) is scaaaary. So i gave it 9/10 instead of 10/10.

The novels came first. there are currently seven.

A manga adaptation was started last September, being published monthly by chapter in a magazine.... the first collection volume is being released soon/now. I don't know how much of the storyline the manga covers *or* whether it includes novel scenes which the anime didn't adapt.

Well it was pretty simple. She just kneeled down and let the guy know it was his forest and he was the boss there. Something along those lines. She was in a hurry so didn't feel like settling it with a brawl, which she would have won of course. May have disliked it but it was the more mature path to take.

Well it is hard to say. Like the one guy who got thrown through the air. If he didn't die he would have some serious injuries. Same for quite a few of them. I'm sure they didn't all die, but possible some didn't make it.

Well there is a novel, manga, and anime. We've covered about 2 volumes out of 6 I think. Manga as far as I know is behind the anime right now.

Edit: Ah it's seven, thanks for the correction Vexx.

Well she is a wolf first of all. If her pack has been threatened and betrayed of course she is going to want to kill those responsible. She takes the bonds with those she cares about very seriously. Natural instincts took over, but I think it just shows that she will go as far as it takes. That and don't mess with her or those she cares about.

One thing I found funny was when she threw the mug of beer into Lawrence's face . Just wham, and then grab the guy.

Maybe nicest moment was when they were glaring, Nora told them to get along and both broke into blushes .

Excellent ending.
Horo is so endearing.
That whole scene where the bell was drowning out the noise and Horo was hitting Lawrence ...that was all kinds of win. It brought a smile to my face.
I'm really going to miss watching this show

It doesn't feel like a complete season though. While the plot progression was slow yet comfortable there really wasn't a true peak. It feels like a foothill. Even this episode slopes slowly down to tie up some plot ends but it doesn't feel like its square one again. This feels like half way through a season and the real plot is about to start picking up.

It really the end of the season?

Well on the bright side still have the DVD only episode 7 to look forward to.

Sadly it doesn't feel like a peak because it really isn't one. We're looking at end of volume 2 of 7. Did tie up the current situation and now they are back on the road. But didn't show Horo getting her honey peaches. How can we end things without that ?
