^HxH isn't ranked on SJ, it's on hiatus. Enzo is most likely talking about the TV ratings. It got 4,3% while Naruto got 3,8%.

Indeed, ratings. I'm assuming the hiatus is the reason there's NO H x H stuff in the Jump Shop at Tokyo Station - though the NTV shop had quite a bit.

This anime is a good way to make me forget about Hiatus X Hiatus.

By the way,

Re: Franklin

Since he was mentioned in the Omake, and his ability never actually gets expanded upon in the actual story (he got explained in supplemental pages), I'd like to mention something about Franklin's ability. I think it's ok at this point.

The way he uses his Nen is basically the most straightforward application of Emitter Hatsu you can think of. He simply fires Nen bullets from his fingers. -However- He cut off his own finger tips to create "caps" to turn his fingers into makeshift "guns". This was completely unnecessary, but he did it anyway. Aside from the fact that it makes him look badass, it also powers up the bullets. (in a way, the bullets are more powerful BECAUSE he looks more badass this way)

I felt the need to point this out because Franklin is one of the earliest examples of why a Nen user should tailor their abilities to their own personal preferences and personality as much as possible. Restrictions help with this, but also "modifications" such as these ones.

Cutting his fingers wasn't unnecessary. It made his ability much more effective the same way the restrictions made Kurapika's ability much more effective. He "sacrificed" his fingers for more power. His bio from chapter 76 said the same:

Quote:
Frankiln (Emitter)

He modified his fingertips into guns, from which he shoots out chunks of aura (Nen bullets).
Of course, this would be possible without cutting his fingers off, but he did it because he felt "It would be more effective." In fact, the destructive force of each bullet improved dramatically.
Willingness to go the extra mile and the addition of restrictions can greatly enhance nen abilities.

How much longer before HxH (2011) covers the Greed Island OVAs?

On a random guess... episode 60+.

We are at the beginning of volume 11 right now. GI starts at volume 14.

Thanks for the guesstimate, hopefully that turns out to be the case.

Man, those Spiders are something else; taking on the mafia like that . Some of their facial expressions made them look like they either didn't care, or was enjoying it. Truly a tribute to Uvo.

I cringed when that Rolento-looking dude fell to the floor after Kuroro stopped his Nen (x.x)...

A note on the prophecy; they talk about the 11th moon(Uvo had the 11th), and I didn't make much of the other stuff, but the last line, "You will find the one who awaits". Given that close-up, I guess that means Hisoka will get his fight. If Hisoka desperately wants to fight Chrollo, he must be really good. Looks like he has to fight the two Zoldykes though first. I really can't see him winning either, given the preview, but he'll probably escape, given the prophecy and that close-up of Hisoka. It'll be interesting to see what Killua's dad and granddad can do =03.

Just watched episode 51, a really good episode, the atmosphere was impressive, i really like it. I prefer this version than 1999 for the very first time in Ryodan arc.

Spoiler:

The next episode should be interesting

I believe a single member of the Spiders could of slowly finish off the whole army of Mafia by themselves.

The animation & music was great! I like how the give us a black/red scene when heads were cut, I didn't mind (we got the point).

madshouse have pleasantly surpised me this episode, for a moment there in the scenes between chrollo and neon, i felt like watching another anime, even the BGM wich is the only thing i've not found on par with the rest of the production was brilliant in those scenes, and next episode can be epic if they put effort into it.

Eliza on a shopping spree.
Her sneaking out to an auction was a really bad idea.
Guess she wasn't aware of the danger.

"After you lose half your limbs..."

Uh ho... half of them aren't going to survive the night...

It could mean "Boss" is going to lose half his limbs instead of losing half the spiders. However, I doubt that is her meaning...

9/10 - Just need Kurapika to get there and join in on the "going crazy" for me to up my ratings to 10/10
