Title: Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha: Mirrored Souls: Nanoha Genre: Joint fanfiction Summary: Do to a time paradox, Nanoha somehow swaps places with her nine year old self. Rating: T Links:Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5, Part 6, Part 7, Part 8,
A random thought on the "This spell is character X's, and Character Y copied it"
I think all spells are generally the same thing, and it's not really "this is my spell" but "this is my name". Like when Subaru copied Nanoha's buster. The spell itself is a standard spell but she named it after Nanoha. No matter how you look at it, it's not really the "same" spell.
Tia's spell where she coats a bullet in a shield to make it go through an AMF, Tia was trying her best to do that spell early on, but Nanoha clearly knew about that ability and explained it as Tia was tryign to do it. Also, I believe that Nanoha taught her how to properly use that spell later on too (she's a teacher after all).
So I think names are important because each "variety" of the same attack is marked through what the caster calls them. I don't think that people "make this first and other people copied it" because somewhere before them, someone else did it too. Surely Nanoha wasn't the first person to ever draw energy around them to put it into a buster attack, just as Tia wasn't the first to shield her bullets to fire through an AMF.
...Just make sure people call their spells by their names or people will point it out you you
Okay, so while I've not been posting, I have been keeping up on the recent developments.
1: Mirrored Souls - Interesting premise, and it's panning out fairly well - but unfortunately I've got no time for it right now.

LEGENDS EPISODE 2!
HAJIMARIMASU!!
Spoiler for Episode 2, Part A:
Episode 2: “Dispatch”
Location: The Delphinus, Yzak Base, Velka SAR, Mid-Childia
Date: November 2nd, Year 0075
Time: 0847 MST
All legends have a beginning – for a legend is simply a story, and all stories must start somewhere…
This legend starts with a simple dispatch order.
On the bridge of the Delphinus, Arcas and Mel were busy going over the Action Reports that they needed to submit for their most recent operation. The Dragonslayer raised a hand to his head, and scratched behind his ear.
“Hey,” he called to Mel, “what was the name of that Ground Force mage who cut us off in the skimmer?”
“Enforcer Morgan,” the Lady Saint replied.
“Right.”
The pair worked in silence on the reports for a few more minutes, then Arcas turned in his chair, looking down the corridor which lead to the bridge. Seeing nobody coming, he got up and crossed the short distance between him and Mel. Hearing the move, Mel turned in her chair to face him.
“Arcas, what is i-” she was cut off by the sudden pressure of Arcas’ lips against her own. Mel’s eyes fluttered shut for a brief instant as warmth surged through her, then she broke the kiss, and pushed him away, holding him at arm’s length.
“What happened to ‘we have to be careful’?” She asked, casting a dubious glance at her secret boyfriend. Arcas inhaled slightly, and then exhaled, a slight smile on his lips.
“Sorry, but if you were in my position, you’d understand.”
“I AM in your position – do you think the prospect of getting up every single day, and having to pretend to everyone else in the Bureau that I don’t want you is something I enjoy?”
“Well-” Arcas started, raising a hand. But he was interrupted by the chirp of the com system. A message had been sent to the 82nd. Sitting back down in the chair, Arcas called up the message. It read simply:
Report to my office ASAP. A situation which requires your talents has come up.
CLJ
“Well, I’ll be…”
“What is it?” It was Mel’s turn to get up. She leaned in, putting her face close to Arcas’.
“Looks like the Colonel has another mission for us.”
“I’ll get Boomer – you find Shosa.” With that, she flounced off of the bridge to find the sniper.
Sighing, Arcas headed for Sevasti’s cabin. He knocked on the door.
“Come in.”
The door opened, and Arcas stuck his head in.
“Major, Colonel Johns wants us downtown yesterday.”
“Coming.”
The four Noble Phantasms met at the bright yellow convertible, the Phantasmobile, and roared off.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Time: 1005 MST
The Noble Phantasms walked down the hallways of Diplomacy Corps HQ side by side. It looked rather picturesque, like something out of a television show opening. Some diplomatic personnel whispered to each other as they went by; others simply stared at the rarely-seen sight of the 4 mages walking together in the halls of HQ.
Following Sevasti’s lead, the Phantasms made their way to the office of their superior, and the person who had contacted them, Colonel Lise Johns, formerly of the RAF herself. They stepped into the outer office, where Natsuki, her ever-present secretary, was waiting. Pressing a button on her desk, she waved them through.
“Go on – don’t keep a lady waiting,” she said.
Especially when said lady wears big, heavy combat boots, thought Boomer.
Opening the door, the 82nd stepped into the office. The large, plush office chair spun around to reveal a red-brown haired woman in her late thirties. The four mages saluted her.
“Well, it’s nice to see you all again,” she commented, waving her hand at them as a way of dismissing the formality. “Have a seat.”
Four chairs, nearly identical to her own, were arranged in front of her desk. Settling themselves in, Sevasti opened with a question.
“What is this ‘situation’ that requires our presence?”
Johns held up an index finger, resting the arm on her desk by the elbow.
“I’ll explain that in a minute. First, I need to bring you up to speed on current events.” She waved her hand, and a screen with a picture on it appeared in the air. “Look familiar?”
“It should,” Arcas replied, glowering darkly at the image, “it’s Regius Gaiz.”
Johns nodded. “As you know, Gaiz was killed at the climax of the Relic Case, and during the Cradle Incident. And while he was one of the Bureau’s…less competent flag-rank officers, the man was the chief representative of the Capital Defense Forces, and therefore since his death, the upper echelons of the Bureau have been pulling more than a few all-nighters to keep up with the additional strain.”
Mel was confused. “What’s that got to do with us?”
The Colonel smiled. “You know about the TDA we’re currently negotiating with the Gaelicans?”
“I remember that,” Boomer said, “how’s it progressing? Last I heard, they had just resumed talks after a long break period.”
“That was about four months ago,” Johns informed them. “Since then, there has been major progress on the TDA, and it’s starting to look more and more like we’ll have one before the year is out.”
“So they are in the final stages,” Sevasti stated. Johns nodded.
“Yes, but the Gaelicans have one last request before they bring the agreement to their government.”
An eyebrow raised. “A request?”
“Yes. Seems they’ve run into a handful of rogue mages that could potentially threaten the negotiations. So, as a show of good faith, they’re asking the Bureau to help the Wardens put an end to the threat.”
“Where exactly is this happening?” Arcas asked.
“RhodesiaCity.”
That sparked Mel’s interest. “Really? Who has the case?”
“According to the Gaelicans, the 2nd Investigative Squad of the Port District.”
The Phantasms looked at each other. “Well, that certainly explains why you want to send us,” Arcas stated.
Sevasti resumed the information gathering. “When do we leave?”
“As soon as possible,” Johns answered. “The Gaelicans won’t go any further with negotiations until you are there, and the security of the talks is assured.”
“We gonna have any backup?” Boomer wondered.
Johns replied. “The 3rd, 19th, and 78th Squadrons will be in the relative area, but they’ve got their own operations to worry about – so assistance will be limited. But you know the rule: call me if you need me…”
Arcas finished. “But to need me is a sign of weakness. We know, we know.”
“Is that all?” Sevasti inquired.
“For now. I’ll have a full briefing, and all the intel the Gaelicans have gathered up to this point made available to you from Ops,” Johns said.
“If we are done here, then,” Sevasti replied, rising to his feet. The three other Phantasms followed, and the quartet saluted the Colonel. Flipping a quick salute back, she dismissed them.
On their way out the door, they heard her call:
“Good luck, and don’t screw up. It’s my ass too if you do!”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now back in the halls, Sevasti gave orders to the rest of the Phantasms.
“The three of you are to go back to the Delphinus and do the following. Boomer: give her a full check – I want all the systems to be in order for when we leave. You have four hours.”
Boomer briefly raised a hand to object, but quickly put it back down when the Major said:
“Do you want me to make it two, Boomer?”
“Moving on. Emira: go over the list of supplies of whatever we have onboard. If there is anything we might need with a reasonable degree of certainty, acquire it. Today. Yoshitaka: plot our course to Gaelica, and after that, assist Emira if he has not already left, and Boomer if he has. Clear?”
Three heads nodded. Then Mel asked:
“What will you be doing, Shosa?”
“I will be here to receive the information promised to us by Colonel Johns. Any more questions?”
No one spoke.
“Go.”
With that, three Phantasms turned away, and headed for the garage of the building. Sevasti also turned, headed in the opposite direction.

Time: 1125 MST
Arriving back at Hangar 94 of Yzak Base, Boomer, Arcas, and Mel boarded the Delphinus. Boomer disappeared immediately, headed for the engineering spaces. Mel went to the bridge, and her customary chair to plot their course. Arcas sat in the common room, comparing two supply lists: what the Delphinus currently had, and what it was stocked with whenever it left for a Tour of Duty. On a third screen, he made notations about what the ship would need, compiled from both the supply lists and his own judgments.
After a half hour or so, Mel breezed into the common room. She asked her Dragonslayer:
“Done yet?”
Arcas did not look away, but he still answered.
“I’m only about a third of the way thru the lists, and that’s not counting what I’m thinking of. Go help Boomer, and check back in another half hour.”
Headed back towards the engineering spaces, she encountered Boomer coming forward.
“Hey. Need some help with the engines?”
The sniper shook his head. “I’ve checked the statistics, and have the diagnostics running right now – they won’t be done for a while. You can help me make sure the instruments are good, though.”
Taking the two seats on the bridge, Mel told Boomer:
“I’ve already gone over the plotting and guidance instruments, so we don’t need to check those.”
“Right.”
While going over the sensors, coms, and redundant systems, Mel looked up at the clock to realize that forty-five minutes had already gone by.
“Be right back,” she told Boomer. The Lady Saint returned to the common room, where she encountered Arcas again.
“You done?”
“Just about,” he replied. “Give me five minutes, then meet me at the Phantasmobile.”
Mel returned to the bridge, let Boomer know she and Arcas were leaving, then headed down to the Phantasmobile. After a few minutes, Arcas showed up and they drove off.

Time: 1305 MST
Now out of Yzak Base and on the highway system, Mel turned to Arcas.
“Okay, where to?”
“We’ve got three stops that’ll have a time delay of over an hour, so let’s hit those first,” the Dragonslayer answered.
“They are?”
“Armory Central, Medical Central, and Maintenance Central.”
“Medical and Maintenance are right next to each other – we going to split those?”
“Yeah. I’ll give you the requisition list for one, and I’ll take the other. Then we can head to the Armory, and drop off our requests.”
“How long do you think that’ll take?”
“The lists aren’t TOO big, but it’ll still take time…two, maybe three hours at most.”
“Well, we COULD go to the one other place we need to stop, OR, since their base is close to the Armory…”
“Visit Division Six?” Mel asked, a huge smile on her face.
“You read my mind, sister!”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Time: 1315 MST
Back at Diplomacy Corps HQ, Sevasti was still waiting for the intel and briefing from the OperationsCenter, so he had returned to Colonel Johns’ office and was talking over other squad related matters with her.
“Okay, now that’s settled. What’s next?” Johns asked.
“I wish to discuss the Delphinus.”
“Alright. What about?”
“As you are aware, the lower-numbered squads are receiving the 2nd generation long-range patrol ship – the 31st, for example, has received the Black Pearl. I wish to have one made available for our use.”
“Why should I do that, and deprive another squad of a ship they’re waiting for? Sevasti, you know as well as I that only a half dozen or so of the 2nd generation ships roll off of the production line every year. There’s two dozen squads who have ships older than yours, at the VERY LEAST.”
“Most of those squads do not perform the high-risk jobs that the 82nd does, and they certainly do not travel as much as we do. I have checked the yearly squad reports – only three other squadrons in the RAF have as much travel distance as we do or more per year, and two of those three squadrons have already received their new ship. Put ships where ships are needed. If you gave the 82nd a new patrol ship, we could cut down on travel time, and therefore have more time available for missions.”
“That’s something that EVERY squad would have, not just yours,” Johns countered. “Besides, the Delphinus was one of the last Serenity-class patrol ships to roll off the line – it still has ten years or so of OPTIMAL service time, and you know that for Serenities, the ship can keep flying potentially forever as long as it has a half-competent mechanic.”
“True, true,” Sevasti admitted. “However, other squadrons do not have the success rate that we do. And if the Delphinus can keep flying for a few more years, then give it to one of the squads with an older ship.”
Johns sighed. He’s right – he’s always right about things like this.
“All right,” she answered. “I’ll talk to the RAF Board about the possibility – but don’t be surprised if they say no. Anything else?”
“No – I am finished.”
“All right then. We’ll talk later.”
With that, Sevasti left Johns’ office for the second time that day.
Stepping outside, the Major found someone waiting for him.
“Hello, Major…”
Spoiler for Episode 2, Part B:
Time: 1455 MST
Arriving at Division Six’s base, Mel and Arcas parked the Phantasmobile in their customary spot, and headed inside.
After Mel talked to a few clerks, they headed to the central lounge, where they found the Four Aces.
“Hey!” Keroko called. Arcas held up a hand.
“Don’t get up – we’re not going to be here long.”
Fate cocked her head. “You have a job, then, I take it?”
Mel nodded. “We’re supposed to headed out ASAP – the only reason we’re even here is because we had to come to this way, and we had time on our hands.”
“So what’s the job?” Hayate asked.
“Essentially, we’ll be securing a TDA from the Gaelican government.” Arcas answered.
“TDA?” Nanoha asked.
“It’s short for Trade-Defense Agreement,” Mel explained. “The Bureau makes them with Non-Administrated Worlds that have a significant amount of resources and military power.”
“It’s a bit of a formality, though,” Arcas continued. “Theoretically, the Bureau would have the firepower to roll over any of these worlds, but they still do it for the image potential, and so that they don’t have to worry about getting mobbed by a bunch of these worlds at once.”
“So, what is it you’re actually doing?” Fate asked.
“Huh?”
“You said ‘essentially,’” she replied.
“Oh. Well, long story short, there’s a group of rogue mages that could potentially threaten the negotiations, so we’ve been called in to assist the Gaelican peacekeeper force in catching them.”
“Sounds simple,” Keroko commented.
“Does, doesn’t it?” Mel replied with a wry smile. “But let me tell you something –” she turned to Arcas. “We’ve gone to Gaelica how many times now?”
“Three,” he answered, “and that’s just been in the two years or so that I’ve been here.”
“Right. Well, point is, whenever we’ve gone, it’s usually a simple-sounding mission: transfer a criminal, protect negotiations, something like that. But it always ends up being not simple. So, we try to keep an open mind whenever we visit.”
“So, catch the rogues, protect the peace talks, that sort of thing?” Hayate asked with a smile. “Sounds like something out of the movies.”
Arcas laughed. “Most of the stuff we end up doing is –” he was cut off by a beep. “Mel, MedCentral’s done with our requests.”
She sighed. “Alright.” Mel turned to the Aces. “Well, we need to be running along – got a lot to do before the day is out. Say hi to everyone else for us, okay?”
“Alright,” Fate answered. “Hey, you guys be careful, alright?”
“Only if we can be,” Mel replied.
“Geez,” Nanoha stated. “Don’t go off half-prepared, alright?”
“Hai, hai,” Arcas called back.
On their way out, they were spotted by Caro and Erio.
“Onii-chan! Onee-chan!”
“Mel-san! Arcas-san!”
The Phantasms looked back over their shoulders to see the Lancer Knight and Dragon Summoner rushing up to them.
“Sorry, guys, but we have to be going,” Mel answered.
“Alright, we won’t keep you then –” Caro started, only to be cut off by Arcas.
“Caro, be good, okay?” The Dragonslayer asked as he rubbed the top of her head.
“Haaaaaaaaaai!” she replied.
Putting himself down at Erio’s level, Arcas looked him straight in the eye, and said:
“Keep her safe, alright?”
“Aa,” Erio replied.
“Good.”
With that, he and Mel drove off.
Time: 1620 MST
Coming out of Medical Central, Arcas and Mel were carrying a cooler-sized container, which they put in the back seat.
“Okay, let’s check how the other requests are going.” Arcas said to Mel.
After a few minutes, they discovered that Maintenance Central had already sent a truck to Yzak Base with the requested parts, and that Armory Central had a truck that would be leaving in the next half hour.
“Now what?” Mel asked.
“Tech Central – we need to pick up a few things from Aurion Dauer.”
En route, Arcas called DC HQ.
“Is a Major Sevasti Secastan there?”
After a few moments, the Major’s face appeared onscreen.
“Major, we’re just about done with gathering supplies. Do you need a pickup?”
“Yes. Come get me ASAP.”
“Understood.”
With that, he closed the screen.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Pulling up in front of Tech Central, Arcas hopped out.
“This’ll take maybe half an hour or so – go get the Major in the meantime, alright?”
Giving an affirmation, Mel drove off. Arcas turned and headed inside. Navigating the long corridors of the Technical Division, the Dragonslayer finally found the lab of Aurion Dauer.
Poking his head inside, he called out, “Hello? Dauer-san? Are you here?”
Stepping inside, Arcas began moving around the lab. Sure is messy in here…how does he find anything? Hearing footsteps, the Dragonslayer headed towards the sound, and found Aurion Dauer.
“Ah, Arcas! What can I help you with?”
“The Major needs two boxes of Magnum Cartridges, and three full decks of spellcards.”
“Follow me,” he beckoned. “You know, the Magnum Cartridges I get, but why always come to me for spellcards?”
Arcas shrugged. “Who knows? The Major knows as much as I do that we can get cards from the Armory, but he still insists on getting them from you…”
“No matter. Here,” Dauer said, placing the requested items in Arcas’ hands. “All set.”
“Thanks.”
“So where are you headed this time?”
“Gaelica – AGAIN.”
“More stuff with the TDA?”
“Yeah,” the Dragonslayer nodded. “I tell ya, the 82nd and I have gone thru a lot of crap to get this – and the Bureau doesn’t really even need it. But still…”
Dauer nodded. “Yeah. I know. Good luck!”
“Thanks!”

Time: 1710 MST
Mel and Sevasti pulled up in the Phantasmobile. Arcas hopped in, and off they went.
“You get the briefing, Major?” Arcas shouted over the wind.
“That I did,” he called back. “Though it took an inordinately long time.”
“What’d you do to pass the time, Shosa?”
“There were people I talked to…”
[Flashback]
“Hello, Major…I’ve been waiting for you.”
Turning around to face the voice behind him, Sevasti saw a tall, blue-haired woman leaning against the wall, arms folded.
“Captain Saganami.”
Captain Sylvia Saganami, Commanding Officer of the 31st RAF, the “Ghost Riders,” pushed herself off the wall, and walked towards the Archer Supreme.
“Precisely why were you waiting for me?”
“I have a small favor to ask of you.”
“What would that be?”
“Do you remember the last time we met?”
“You are referring to the smuggling ring bust on Bowman’s Paradise, yes? How could I forget?”
“Your memory’s sharp as always. Remember how some of the smugglers got away?”
His eyes narrowed imperceptibly, for a moment.
“Yes. I remember.”
“Well, the Riders and I have been following some leads since then, and we think we might’ve found them.”
“So why do you need me?”
“Getting to that,” she replied with a smile. “Our best lead takes us in the direction of Gaelica, where you’re headed, if I’ve heard right. BUT, the Powers That Be have decided that there’s a pair of targets elsewhere who are more important – so I don’t have any idea as to when we can get back to this. So, the favor is: while you’re on Gaelica, keep your eyes open. We’ll send you our info on the targets – if you spot them while you’re there, send us a message, and we’ll come running.”
Sevasti mulled it over for a few seconds.
“If we find your fugitives, what do we get in return?”
“Well, you’re probably aware that the 31st is the most-traveled squad throughout the Black, yes?”
“I am.”
“In those travels, we tend to see and hear things that most other RAF squads don’t pick up on – things that don’t necessarily make their way into the official intelligence briefs.”
“You are offering…information?”
“More or less.”
Information in exchange for observation. Could be useful…
“Very well. We shall keep our eyes open.”
[End Flashback]
“I see,” Mel replied. “That’s good – sometimes I think you aren’t the social type.”

Time: 1745 MST
Pulling up in front of Hangar 94, the three Phantasms hopped out and carried the container with medical supplies inside to the Delphinus’ infirmary.
Coming down the steps from the upper level, Boomer ran into Sevasti first.
“Ships A-OK and all ready to go. The guys from Armory and Maintenance stopped by, and the supplies we need are all set.”
Coming back from one of the supply rooms, Arcas and Mel joined their older compatriots.
“Are we all set, Major?” the Dragonslayer asked.
“It would appear so,” Sevasti answered. “Prepare for liftoff.”
With that, everyone headed upstairs. Boomer made his way towards the back of the ship, to the engineering spaces. Sevasti went to his cabin, to go over the RAF Intelligence Briefing. Arcas and Mel stepped onto the bridge, and sat in the left and right-hand chairs respectively, readying the ship for launch. Arcas looked to Mel.
“Yzak BaseTower, this is the Delphinus in Hangar 94. We are requesting takeoff, over.”
“Copy that, Delphinus. This is the Tower. We are opening the doors now.”
With a loud noise, the doors over the top of the hangar began to retract, sliding into the sides of the building.
“Doors are fully retracted, Delphinus. You are clear.”
Mel flipped a bank of switches, then depressed a large green button. The powerful engines of the Delphinus roared to life. After a few seconds, the ship lifted off the ground, rising out of the hangar.
Mel worked the control sticks, slowly turning the ship left, to its designated course heading. “We’re clear!”
“Tower, this is Delphinus. We are clear of the hangar and lined up for our initial departure vector.”
“Roger, Delphinus. Your path is clear – good hunting.”
“Well?” Mel asked him. Arcas grinned.
“Hit it.”
Mel grabbed one of the side levers, and slammed it forward, rotating the Delphinus’ engines from vertical to horizontal. The ship shot forward, rocketing outwards to the stars, vanishing on the horizon.

Location: Delphinus, en route to the planet Gaelica
Time: 1900 MST (Local Equivalent)
A couple of hours away from Mid-Childia, the Phantasms were now gathered around the dinner table in the common room of the ship. As was their custom when headed to Gaelica, the first meal of the journey was Earth style crab cakes, as cooked by Boomer.
“Boomer, how in the world you make food THIS good out of prepackaged stuff…have you considered becoming a cook when you’re too old for this?”
“More than once – and remember, I grew up in the food business.”
“That’s true…”
“Hey Major, have you had a chance to look over the briefing yet?”
“Some of it. It seems fairly standard for Gaelican intelligence.”
“In other words, not much?”
“Afraid so.”
Mel sighed. “Would it kill the Gaelicans to get themselves a proper intelligence division? I mean, it’s a testament to their skill that more of them aren’t killed due to bad intel…”
“That it is. And Wardens have never invested much in intelligence for that very reason.”
The Noble Phantasms continued to talk. When dinner was finished, everyone pitched in to clean up. After they were done…
“Emira, you and Yoshitaka have first watch. Wake us when it is time to switch.”
“Copy that, Major.”
With that, Sevasti and Boomer disappeared into their respective cabins. Arcas and Mel, left alone, looked to each other.
“Wanna go to the bridge?”
“Sure!”
The pair reached the doorway which lead to the bridge nearly simultaneously. Almost shoulder to shoulder, they walked in silence for a few steps until Mel felt Arcas’ left hand curl around her right. Stepping onto the bridge, Arcas sat himself in the pilot’s chair on the right hand side, pulling Mel into his lap. Closing her eyes, she leaned against her man. The Lady Saint sighed, her warm breath tickling Arcas’ neck.
They remained like that for several minutes, until a noise startled them both, making the secret lovers jump apart. They stared at each other awkwardly for a few seconds, then Mel announced:
“I’m going to go check the…uhh…something. Stay here and keep watch, will you?”
“Sure! No problem,” Arcas replied, a forced smile on his face.
With that, Mel left the bridge. Arcas checked the Delphinus’ position on the star map, and leaned back in the chair. “Well…”
“…here we go again.”

If you want to learn more about the 31st and Sylvia, go here.
Nanoha's definition of 'play' was the same as a the standard Teen's. I knew it was a stress relief, as I had my own, but it was still cute. Nanoha loved going to malls, simply walking around while talking, and generally doing nothing while something at the same time. I've noticed that was a trend between us; wasting time together while still getting things accomplished. It was okay, right? To have fun sometimes? Yes, Nanoha and I worked so hard, it was okay to just be normal teenagers.
"Ne, Fate-chan?" Nanoha started pulling me towards a pretzel stand. "Let's get one?"
"Okay," There was only one person in line in front of us so we were quickly able to get a large fluffy pretzel for her. Nanoha added a little mustard to it and took a large bite before offering it to me. "Um, no thank you," I moved back a little and got...oh lord... that look. Different from that look, but still a look I didn't like being looked at.... Yeah, that made sense.
"Fate-chan," She pushed the pretzel closer to my face. "You've never tasted it have you?"
"ER... Well... Kind of?" I took a step back. She always always did this! I'm from a different planet, ALL your food is weird to me! "Didn't we just go through this a few days ago?"
"Yes, so don't fight it." Nanoha pushed hte food to my mouth directly and glared, making me finally cave and allow her to feed me a bite. "Chew properly," She warned, eying me.
I chewed, eyes closed, for a moment before swallowing. "Blech."
"Don't like?"
The drink was offered to my and I drank heavily from it. "Ugh that was the worst thing I've ever put in my mouth."
"It's better with mustard," She put a dab on it and offered again. "Try?"
The puppy dog look? Nanoha, why do you hate me so? "... Okay..." Slowly I leaned forward and bit an extremely small bite off from it and chewed. It wasn't as bad, but still nasty. "Sorry," I drank again and got a disappointed hum.
"Thanks for trying," She started finishing it off while walking next to me. "Where to now?"
"Anywhere you want."
"Mou, Fate-chan" Her voice held a cute whine to it. "Pick a place, let's o something you want to."
"Mmmmm.... There." I pointed to the Hot Topic store and Nanoha sighed. "Come on, don't fight it," I smiled and dragged her along. "You said I could."
"Yes, yes," She looked around with me as I fawned over the pitch black underwear and stockings. "You can buy things like that at Victoria Secret..."
"They are cheaper here," I informed her as I picked up a pair of black lacy panties with a purple bow on hte front. "What do you think?"
"I like," Grinning, I decided to treat myself to them. We paid out and continued for a little while longer before leaving the mall and looking up at the sky. Night time.
"I should be getting home," Nanoha pouted. "Oh well, let's do something tomorrow too?"
"Of course!"
"Hehe, eager?"
I blushed. "Well..." I looked at her eyes and smiled. "Yes." I stated proudly. "Yes I am."
Nanoha looked taken aback for just a small moment before exhaling a small laugh and blushing. "O-okay then...Tomorrow it is."
"Yeah," I beamed at her, making her look away and try to hide an embarrassed half-laugh. She was getting shy now that I was being more honest about my feelings. Nanoha, you're so cute.
"My bus is that way," She pointed a direction I wasn't going. "So I'll say goodbye here?"
"Mm, okay." We looked at each other and she flushed again, looking down at her feet.
Now was okay...
I moved forward, placed my palm on her head, and kissed her forehead. "Bye-bye, Nanoha."
She met my eyes and smiled softly at me, rubbing her left eye. "Bye-bye, Fate-chan."

As it seems that Vivio is now the baddie, is it possible to Claim Vivio? I got a few ideas for that one.
Spoiler for 123 & 124:
”How is she?” Nanoha asked with very worried face.
”Cried herself to sleep.” Fate stated, walking to the living room.
”What did you say to her?” Nanoha turned her tea cup slowly around.
”I said she shouldn't keep it all inside her and we would help her through it all.” Fate sat next to Nanoha. ”Then her head lit on fire and all those gems appeared.” She pointed to toilet. They had left the gems where they were as they had bad memories from touching them.
”I think we should call Miachell-san or Linque-kun here.” Nanoha reasoned and Fate nodded back.
”Linque is with Hayate, training leadership, so we should call Miachell first.” Fate rose up from the sofa and walked towards the toilet. ”I think we should clear this mess up.” She scratched her head, looking at the swarm of gems on the toilet floor.
”Watch out for the orange ones.” Nanoha adviced and called to Miachell.
”Let's see, let's see.” Fate looked around the crystal forest for orange ones but didn't find any. Slightly hesitantly she picked up a green one. ”Whoa.” She dropped the gem and backed away from shock.
”What was it Fate-chan?” Nanoha asked, running to her.
”It talks.” Fate responded, pointing at the green gem at her feet.
”Talks?” Nanoha repeated and picked up the gem. ”It does.” She smiled and repeated the word: ”Live.”
”Wonder what this does.” Fate said and picked up a red gem. Suddently in her eyes flashed a image of a white school and kids playing in the playground. Lanlai was looking this over the fence, smiling. ”Happy memory?” She deduced and dropped the gem back on the floor.
”She had all these in her head?” Nanoha said almost tearing. ”I can't even hold 5 green gems before the sound starts to hurt my brain and there's atleast 10 of them here.” She fell to her knees and dropped the gems in her hands.
Fate rubbed Nanoha's back almost tearing herself. ”11 green, 14 blue, 31 red, 1 pink and 1 violet.” She counted.
”What are you two doing?!” Angry voice of a woman demanded from behind.
”Miachell, you knew about this?” Fate asked, holding many different colored gems in her hand.
”Of course I knew about it!” Miachell said and slapped the gems out from Fate's hand. ”Do you know what you just did?”
”I don't. I really don't.” Fate turned her head to the floor.
”You just destroyed the only force keeping her sane.” Miachell said, gathering the gems. ”400 years of sorrow crashed onto her in seconds. No 11 year old can take that.” She used her cape to carry all the gems to the living room.
”Why did she have these in the first place?!” Nanoha yelled. ”Why couldn't she just cry it all out back then!”
”Imagine a situation. You're 10 year old and nearly everyone of your friends die.” Miachell paused for a moment. ”Now imagine the same thing happen over and over and over again. Then imagine that this all happened five minutes ago at the same time. That's the situation she's in now.” She sighed and began organizing the gems. ”How did you even manage to get her take them off in the first place?”
”I said we'd help her through it all.” Fate walked slowly to the living room.
”Did she start crying and then absurdly stop?” Miachell lifted her eyebrow.
”Yes she did...” Fate stuttered in amazement after realizing it.
”Junie...” Miachell answered with an unknown term, grinning.
”Junie?” Nanoha blinked.
”I'm sorry I blamed you. I think Junie did this.” She smiled strangely happy.
”Who's Junie?” Fate asked.
”Junie is one of Lanlai's forms... They have a strange relationship. I better not tell anymore.” Miachell looked deep within Fate's eyes to tell that she couldn't.
”I see.” Nanoha understood and changed the subject into something more pressing. ”What are these?” She pointed at the four stacks on the coffee table.
”Crystallications of magic. Selshin technology.” Miachell said and picked up a green gem. ”Voice gem.” She threw it to Fate and took a red one. The gem kept saying ”You are strong.” ”Memory gem.” Miachell forced it on Nanoha's hand next to her and picked up a blue one. Immediately Nanoha's mind got a memory of walking next to a boy. ”Thought gem.” She placed it to it's pile and grabbed a pink gem. ”Order gem.” Miachell placed the gem down on the table and looked at the last one with hate, greater than anything. ”PA gem.” She answered vaguedly while trying to break the violet one with her eyes.
”How could she take all this and still live normally?” Fate asked placing the green gem back to it's pile.
”Overuse. She was addicted to them. Originally the idea was to release them once she had matured enough, so she would have a chance to take it all.”
”Addicted?” Fate repeated.
”It's much less painful to complitely forget about a person than mourn for his death.” Miachell closed her eyes. ”But she was so social and we couldn't keep up with the gems.” Her voice wavered.
”What do these do?” Nanoha asked, inspecting a blue jewel in her hand.
”Thought gems generate or block certain thoughts. Most of these were used to block all thoughts of certain people. Voice gems repeat the same thing over and over again, it's much easier to listen to encouraging talk instead of think about dead people. It was mostly to derail her thoughts. Memory gems remind her of the good times and then there are the Order gems.” Miachell explained and picked up a pink jewel from the table. ”At one point, she was so suicidal that the book was about to run out of cores to resurrect her and if that had happened, Aren would have died and the book wouldn't be destroyed. This Order gem makes her unable to commit suicide.” She explained, placing it back on the table.
”What about the violet?” Fate asked, pointing at the violet jewel.
”...Personality Alternation gem... It kept her cheery...” Miachell's voice dripped guilt and shame.
”Personality... Alternation...” Nanoha and Fate stuttered, deeply shocked.
”Her smile was something I just didn't want to see dissapear.” Miachell wrapped the gem tightly in a cloth. ”But... that was not her.” She murmurred and her hand turned into a strong paw. With a furious roar and crushed the gem into dust, smiling satisfied of the result. ”I'm glad there was a way to remove it.” The violet sand fell through her slender fingers.
Nanoha watched the dust fall on the rug, not caring how it would take forever to get out from there. ”What are the side effects?” She inquired, worried, and dropped the sensitive case.
”Keeping a Thought gem over a day causes it to scream until taken off. Most of her time she took them off and placed them back again. Now she has something to do I think she just withstood the screaming. The rest don't have any.” Miachell flexed. ”Try not to let her kill herself.” She said and rose up from the couch.
”You're just going to leave?” Fate accused.
”Junie wanted you, Fate, to take care of her.” Miachell stopped next to the blond woman and pat on her shoulder. ”And that is something I was denied from."
”But we're almost complete strangers...” Fate reasoned but, in reality, she wanted to take care of Lanlai.
”Strangers?” Miachell blinked and stopped on her tracks. ”You saved us from that eternal trap. If you said that I could fly, I would jump out from the highest building. My trust towards you is unbreakable and my debt to you infinite. We might be strangers, but I don't care about that and neither did Junie.” She walked to the door. ”This is just another thing we can never repay.” She finished without looking at the two and left the room.
Fate and Nanoha stayed silent for a long time before Caro peeked out from the bed area.
”Is Lanlai-chan going to be okay?” She asked with worried look.
”Yes, she will be okay. She just needs to be around her friends now.” Fate walked to the girl and pet her head.
”Okay.” Caro nodded and walked to the girl, trashing in the bed.
”Junie... why did you do that...?” Lanlai muttered in her sleep. ”I trusted you.” She gripped the sheets and bit her teeth.
”It's okay.” Caro put her hand on the girl's forehead. She stopped moving instantly and tears began flowing from her eyes. ”Ah... I'm sorry.” Caro lifted her hand and the trashing and mumbling continued.
”She is comfortable around you.” Fate gestured Caro to continue.
”I know.” Caro smiled and placed her hand on Lanlai's forehead again. ”I know...”

Two girls walked side by side window shopping in the sun heated streets of Cranagan. They chatted of pointless things all day and attempted to avoid everything close to their work. This wasn't the time for such chat. There was something in Teana's mind. She had revealed of what happened to her in the temple but Linque had told her that Subaru had something in her mind as well.
”Um... Subaru.” She attempted to catch the attention of a woman intensely imagining what she would look in the car on display.
”Yes, Tia?” Subaru answered still gazing the luxurious car. The two had wandered to the crowded downtown area of Cranagan.
”I heard from Linque-san that you had something to think as well. So I was just wondering.” Teana's voice wavered.
”Let me see...” Subaru stopped her fantasizing and reminenced of what happened in the temple. ”Not really but I was pretty rash back there.”
”Rash? You didn't tell me anything.” Teana raised her voice but not enough to draw attention from the stream of people walking by.
”It wasn't that much. I just duelled Linque-san and accepted all or nothing gamble.” Subaru waved with her left hand and held her right behind her head like it was nothing.
”That is much! Tell me what happened.” Teana demanded.
”Fine. First he kinda cornered me and Vita-san to the center with these strange lights, they are dangerous, don't touch them. After that was done he showed off some fancy moves and Vita-san landed a giant swing directly in his head.” Teana gestured to continue. ”But he didn't die. He casted some spell that made him invulnerable for 7 minutes. Then he showed even more cooler moves and his swords turned into these strange green thingies that were unstoppable and moved as fast as lighting. Then we ran around the room for some time until I managed to nail a kick in his groin.”
”That's pretty cheap.” Teana snickered.
”Uhu.” Subaru nodded proudly. ”Anyway, this made his blades dissapear and he was back to normal, so I decided to duel him. I lost surprisingly but he didn't kill me. He wanted to use some supermove on me, so we gambled which would come first: 7 minutes or his move. Vita-san interrupted this and almost got the strike instead so I blew air to his ear and he lost his concentration and lost to the damage caused to him.” Holding her laughter, she finished the story.
”Well, I don't find anything out of the usual Subaru.” Teana pondered. ”Maybe she wasn't just used to people like you.” She patted her friend, satisfied.
”Indeed.” Subaru smiled at the comments.
”Was there really nothing else?” Teana asked once more.
”Nothing, nothing.” Subaru waved Teana's questions away. ”Don't let it bother you, I don't either.” She lied with a smiling face. Truth was that she could never forget what had happened in that temple.
I'm not one to snuff out creative thoughts but three story lines on a joint fic may be a little too much? I'll archive them if you wanna do it though.
Week pt.16 is dedicated to Angel. I hope your having a good day <3
Spoiler for Week pt.16:
Day five.
I wonder how long this would last? This feeling in my stomach, the excitement and nervousness in my throat. As I lay awake in bed staring at my ceiling I pondered exactly what it meant. Everyone always said that the feeling didn't last long, that it would slowly die off and we would become used to each other...
Well, I've seen that in some couples and it made me a little annoyed. I waited so long for Nanoha, now that I had the chance to be with her, why would I want the feelings to go away? Yes, those couples were fakes in my book. I was sure the way I felt would last. Just like that couple down at the bread store, or Nanoha's parents. That's how I wanted to be.
The light shining through my blinds finally reached my open eyes and I rolled over. Arf, in her puppy form, fell from my stomach and mumbled something sleepily before going to the foot of my bed. As I sat up I pondered what I should do today. Already I had taken Nanoha to many places so what was left?
Slowly I moved from my bed and walked to my dresser to pick out clothes for the day. A matching dark black bra with bikini style panties were placed over my body and covered with semi-baggy bluejean shorts and a shirt that showed off my stomach. Not so much for looking sexy but mainly because it was so freaking hot outside.
The way downstairs was made casually, sounds of morning filling the apartment. Just as I passed my brother's room the door opened softly. Used to running into him, I quickly danced around the person and went to wish him a good morning.
Only it was Amy.
Coming out of Chrono's room in one of his shirts.
Early in the morning.
Processing, please wait.....
My eyes went wide and I took a small breath of air to prepare myself for the squeal. Fortunetly for Amy she reacted fast enough to cover my mouth and press a finger to her lips with a 'Shhhhhh' sound. I nodded ecstatically at her and found her hand removed from my lips. "Since when?" I whispered to her softly as the door closed.
"A while," She replied with a small embarrassed smile. "I need to go,"
I understood why. If Mom caught her there would be so much teasing and questions they would never have privacy again. As I watched Amy walk away with a slight limp towards the bathroom for a shower a thought crossed my mind.
Privacy.
That's right, Mom and Chrono were going back to Midchilda today to check on their new ship being constructed... Amy was sure to go with them... Which meant I would be alone today.
Alone with Nanoha....
I could feel my cheeks burning. Was it too early? Would she be startled by it? But I'm not planning to seduce her or anything... I just want to cuddle, maybe watch a movie, cook her dinner...
Yes, that was fine. Just because we're dating doesn't mean that we're still not friends. She has come over many times to just hang out. Tonight will be same, only with cuddling. Oh wow, I want to snuggle her... The very idea was making me giddy.
A deep breath calmed me down enough to get control of my thoughts again. I was a mature adult, there was no way I was going to get all light headed and dreamy over just this. With a nod I confirmed it to myself and walked forward, tripped over myself because I wasn't paying attention, and landed with a thunk on the floor.
I'm not one to snuff out creative thoughts but three story lines on a joint fic may be a little too much? I'll archive them if you wanna do it though.
Nothing like another story line. Just to show how it all started, gather the thoughts and motives behind this all, making people know about her and start moving the plot.
I was nervous. That was to say the least. I spent most of the morning shopping for everything I needed to cook dinner tonight and prepared as much of it as I could so I wouldn't have to spend very long in the kitchen. Everyone was already gone and I was about to leave myself. I was going to pick Nanoha up at her house and walk her here. I didn't have to but I had a plan in mind.
As I left my house I assured myself that this wasn't going overboard. I mean, it wasn't like I was going to buy her roses or anything... Just flowers. Pretty flowers. Something to show my feelings for her, that's all. Maybe a teddy bear too? No, that's too much. Stay simple, Fate, stay simple.
The flower shop came into view about mid-way to my girlfriend's house and after a quick stop I emerged with a simply bouquet of mixed flowers. Nothing over the top, no red roses blooming, just a nice arrangement. Yes, she would like this. I'm sure she would understand that I wanted to tell her how I felt but didn't want to go overboard. One confession of love threw her world upside down, I don't need to do it again. Flowers were a nice sign of friendship and caring, as well as love. She will understand them all.
Why am I convincing myself this over and over? Calm down!
The café came into sight and I sped up a little. One because I wanted to get to see her faster and two because the sun was blazing. Have I mentioned I don't like heat?
Cool air greeted me and I exhaled in satisfaction. "Hello," I greeted Momoko happily, plucking one flower from the arrangement and handing it to her. "For you."
"Aw, thank you!" Momoko sniffed it and beamed at me. "You're so sweet."
"I try," I was blushing again at the compliment. "Is Nanoha ready or should I go fetch her?"
"I'm here," Nanoha's voice came from the kitchen and shortly she jogged out of it, stopping when she saw me. "Eh?"
"And for you," I continued my earlier statement, giving the glass vase to Nanoha.
"I...thank you..." She fidgeted softly, leaning forward and smelling them. "... Thanks, Fate-chan...."
She sounded... sad?
"Nanoha?" I asked softly, a little worried. Did I mess up?
"Sorry," The girl sniffed and rubbed both her eyes, wiping away tears that had yet to properly form. Another sniff came and Momoko took the flowers from her to place in the middle of the café. "I'm a little..." She rubbed her eyes again to make sure the tear were gone. "Allergic to some flowers."
I face palmed. Figures. "I'm sorry..."
"It's okay, let's not talk about it." Nanoha walked by me and hurried to the door. On the way after her Momoko gave me a soft encouraging look, and I got the vibe from her that I should keep trying my best. My girlfriend sniffed again when I met her and was trying to calm herself down. "Okay, what's the plan today?"
"Um," I reached out to take her hand but found her slowly wrapping her arms around my offered one and rested her head on my shoulder while hugging it. "I thought maybe we could just go to my place and hang out? Watch a movie and just talk or something?"
"That sounds okay," She nodded and walked next to me, cheek against my shoulder, despite the strange looks we got from some people. "And Darling?"
"Yes, Honey?" Back to pet names.
"They were pretty."
"Your fa-"
"My face is pretty, I know." She giggled, mood lightening and smile appearing over her face again. "You always say that."
With a giggle I looked forward, now over my slip up on the flowers. "Let's hurry, it's way too hot outside."
Oh come now, as arguably the biggest Vivio fan on this forum, how could I pass this up? As soon as the notion of Evil!Vivio became a serious topic I already staked my claim. :3

May I correct, the most verbally active fan
I was sold to her the moment I saw fanart of her. (7Arcs didn't give her enough love )
I was sold to her the moment I saw fanart of her. (7Arcs didn't give her enough love )
I was sold the moment the then still unknown girl appeared on the CD cover. It's just too bad the Nanoha-mama potential got screwed over by SrikerS lousy writing, and the endfight should have had far more focuss on mai waifu adult Vivio, after all, that was meant to be the climax of the story.

But this isn't as easy as writing a simple Nanoha or Fate piece, this requires plot involvment, rewatching StrikerS, making sure I get Jail right, finding the right timing, the right situation. Not to mention the whole 'what would happen' was still under debate the moment I laid my claim.

I think we both failed to realize that this was crack I took the same approach, although I waited for others to talk the idea through
To clear this up, I asked if 2 hours would be alright because of the pace it was being done at. Before it was not said so.
Just as other people allowed the first poster to have claim, like TSS allowed my first Nanoha story to be posted, and just like we gave EvilRick his spot in line when we said "no more waiting in line" after it, the one who FIRST CLAIMED Vivio should write the first part.
consistency is fairness. so it was Keroko who first staked claim, correct? If so then I request Keroko to be the one to start it.

You seem to have misunderstood. My past posts weren't about whining how unfair it was. (Which is isn't. No sarcasm included.) I gave up on my claim when I heard that Keroko had claimed it already even that mine was already finished. (Good timing btw Keroko. No sarcasm included. No, really, there isn't.)
It's all his now and I'll wait if I get more ideas.
Though in all honesty, how long you've been a fan doesn't matter to how big a fan you are.

This entire idea is crack. A little whiff more hardly matters at this point.

I've only been back from work for a few hours, but I'm writing it now. And yes Fuyu, your request will be granted. Concidering this is only a sidestory, I figured one tiny OC wouldn't matter.
