It's not weird for a seiyuu to be doing to two voices in a series

It's weird to guess a voice actress who is already cast in the show!

Imagine that Sakana will be voiced by Aki Toyosaki.

Okay, since this is BONES, and I don't see her cast as any other character yet...

Nazuka Kaori as Sakana-chan?

By the way - thank you so much for all the translating, duckroll, it's definitely a great way to get pumped up for the series.

That's exactly who I was thinking about. Sakanachan looks like a mix of Lala-ru and Eureka to me, so I think she'd be perfect for the role

I'll throw out my own guess: Yukana or Nana Mizuki for Sakana, and Mamiko Noto for Midori.

SRW Hotnews has the clean Newtype scan up.

http://superrobotwar.wordpress.com/2...ine-september/

The spread is drawn by Shingo Abe, so he's very likely doing mecha animation for the series as well.

There isn't a lot of interesting stuff. Well, the producer being named pretty much seals the deal that this is a C Studio project (if it wasn't already obvious enough before this). They're also pimping Muraki as the special effects director in charge of awesome mecha action animation, so they better deliver. Lol. The shrine maidens in the show will definitely sing, as they noted that the audition for Wako required Saori Hayami to show off her singing talents as well.

The spread is illustrated by Yuriko Ishii, another C Studio animation regular. I'll like to note that it's also the first character art piece I've seen which I actually don't hate. The characters there ALMOST look like normal humans... almost. I guess it's a good start? :P

The two on the left maybe, but the guy on the right looks like he's wearing thigh-high boots for crying out loud. =(

I'll probably give this a shot, but damn...it's like they're trying real frickin' hard to make me not want to with these retarded character designs.

First time commenting on this;

Looks pretty 70s in a way. The scenario sounds pretty whatever honestly. But the visual designs caught my interest. Going by the outrageous and frankly AWESOME designs of the female masked operatives, I think we can plainly say this is not a show to take seriously.

It'll be interesting to see how tounge in cheek Enokido goes with the story and more importantly how Igurashi will illustrate it.

I generally like his work having watched about half of Ouran (funny Ouran SOOO much better than psuedo-drama Ouran) and Soul Eater (Manga adaption was great, original, meh it looked shiny).

He's gotta a lotta punch and style to his work, makes it real fun. Not worried about the animation. Designs seem ok, colors are a little wierd but the costumes for those female operatives are BOSS and the Mecha design is wacky.

As long as it isn't too cheesy, i'll give it a go.

Well, it could also be something more like Precure transformation

Btw, if I'm not wrong the sequence you linked was animated by Yutaka Nakamura, which probably would appear also in Star Driver (at least that's what I hope ><).
