One of my favorite episodes so far.

The singing felt kinda awkward but the excitement of the battle was up in the air. Ho Ho Ho fights using her Object while Milinda and Qwenthur struggles to defeat her. Artwork visual for this week

So yeah, we learned a little more about the Rush and its Strategic AI Juliet. While it had the upper hand againts the still heavily damaged Baby Magnum and managed to defeat it, Quenser and Heivia managed to turn to tides of the battle. It was kind of obvious something like this was going to happen when the two established the secret code in the last episode. This episode also has several scenes with Objects fighting and one epic bluff by Quenser, so it was great overall.

Only thing I didn't like was the awkward song scene, which felt totally out of place for a pretty good reason. Seem like JCStaff wanted to insert a scene to remind people Oh Ho Ho is an idol, but that wasn't a good moment for it.

Haha Qwenthur you devious piece of work . He really got brutalized this time around, but it was worth it. They captured Rush, Milinda is safe, and he even managed to make an enemy Elite doubt her own military over his word ! She totally won't buy the explanation that Qwenthur utterly tricked her and instead will doubt those around her. I kind of feel sorry for her on that front.

To be honest I kind of forgot the secret code business and so Qwenthur's plan didn't really hit me until it was revealed. Props to Havia for figuring out what he had to do in a hurry.

Qwenthur getting brutally knocked around by the Object's movements was kind of disturbing, though I suppose it was supposed to be.

Heh, they updated the OP song to show the loli Ohoho. No more G-cup in there.

It's delicious irony that the key to defeating the Information Union was to use misinformation. Still, the Object vs Object battle was pretty cool and it's been a while since we had one, funny how it's also in Alaska.

Sheessh Qwenthur really put his body on the line for this, but a captured Object is sweeter than a destroyed one. Well, that's probably not the only thing he captured...

Ohoho was a fun one to have around, love to see her back soon.

Marvellous, epic episode and was almost perfect - as a novel reader obviously -.

I love the way how they did each scene inside the gatling 033 and the VA of HOHOHOHO did an excellent job, I don't really get why HO is so down in the rankings and SP when is so damn good and fun to watch.

This is the kind of series that becomes unwatchable/unreadable if you enter it with the wrong mindset, so I can't say its low popularity surprises me.

They changed the opening to now show what Ohoho as the little girl she is. Goodbye G-cups.

Qwnethur did a pretty good job. He managed to capture an enemy Object and even managed to fracture Ohoho's trust in her superiors. Though he will have a lot of explaining to do the princess when he gets back.

The singing was awkward but I did find it funny how you can hear Qwenthur screaming in the background the entire time.

I'm repeating myself a bit, but I rewatched the battle parts and I have to say it again, the battle part in this episode was almost perfect. It took them a while, but this episode really shows how Objects are supposed to fight in the novels, moving around each other at high speeds, trying to outmaneuver each other to get a good shot while changing directions several times. First time the comparison to "the footwork of a mixed martial artist champion" in the novels felt a little appropiate.

Singing was absolutely awful, but other than that loved the episode. Possibly my favorite yet.

Could barely even hear the song, I could make out the crowd cheering more than her singing lol

Qwnethur screaming over the music number was great, and it occurs to me that this was the first time an Object duel actually gets significant screentime.

That said, if Ohho was strong enough to move so casually against the acceleration, she should have fractured Qwnethur's skull when she was punching him, but whatever.

Juliet does a very good job of highlighting the disadvantages of going into battle with a prototype.

The ending makes no sense. It only works if Ohho is an idiot who never saw the bottom of her chair even though she helps with the maintenance and is incapable of critical thought. A fail safe for a rogue object would not be on a timer with the amount of damage they can do in seconds. And if they had those kind of codes you would think that most fights would come down to who had the best spies not the best Objects.

And shouldn't have Rush exploded seconds after it's Elite escaped because of all those unstoppable self destruct systems we saw at the start of the show to keep it out of enemy hands?

That's one intense episode.

Qwenthur is now basically the most dangerous soldier alive.

Why would Ohoho be checking under her seat for no reason when she trusted her unit before this? Sure she helps with the maintenance, but that's only when she had no one else to do it, she doesn't personally check through everything herself.

If the bomb was set to blow right after the AI went haywire, then they risk killing the Elite when she's only trying to fix it. She could interpret the timer as the time expected to fix Juliet in case it goes down, then the bomb will just reset or something. The main thing is she felt betrayed so explanations don't really matter.

When Ohoho escaped, Rush was still fully combat ready as she shut off the dead AI and was prepared to control it herself. There's no reason for it to go into self destruct mode.

Yay! The cute one survived! And is now much closer to genuinely thinking of Q-boy as an ally. Although...

That... hurts rather a bit. Not only is the seed of doubt he planted growing, there is also, almost certainly, fear. The people she trusted, who she believed valued her and perhaps even cared for her, now apparently were only using her to help them develop combat computers. As soon as it even appeared she might have failed them, they tried to kill her. When she gets in a cockpit again, will she ever be able to feel safe? What else might they have been prepared to do to her, what else might they have been planning that she had overlooked because she trusted them?

Doubts like these, and probably others, are going to haunt her now. And most ironically, the one she now seems to think is most trustworthy is the one who actually instilled all those fears in the first place, by lying to her. Yet from her perspective he basically dealt with her fairly, showed remarkable capability in finding a way to counter Juliet, and then saved her life from the treachery of her superiors, while risking his own life.

...I was probably going somewhere with this, but it's 3AM here, so my train of thought has kind of run so far off the track that it might be a submarine of thought now instead. I'ma go sleep; figure out if I was trying to actually say anything later.
