I hope they give enough back story so those who are not reading the manga know what's going on. I tried to read the manga but got bored with it. It's the only series where I did not like the manga.

Going by the PV and what chapters they'll be animated, i can't see there being an explanation happening, because a lot happened from where the anime ended at to this point.

Sure does look like another OVA for the fans of the manga, and not the adaptation.

Well yeah of course, though i feel sorry for the anime only watchers who aren't going to know what's going on for the most of it.

I'm a but rusty on my Air Gear knowledge because i've only read a little bit after what this arc will cover, though pretty much it's best to read where the TV series ended, because if you jump right into the material that will be needed for this OVA, you'll end up quite lost. I was quite lost for a few chapters at the time even after reading it all.

I agree . As Air Gear is very hard to understand at some point ...

So there's Kururu , Ringo and Simca . Add Benkei and Emily and this will be the top 1

Honestly thats a first. I know people who still like the anime, but never came across someone preferring the anime over the manga...

The anime stops at chapter 103. All you need to do is read the next 30 chapters and that should give you all the the bg info for OAD. Lucky its not the Spitfire fight otherwise you would need a lot more reading to get done.

Though many hope that if theres another animation - it will revolve around that one

First... this is so good, i mean, the anime ended just when everything started... and for the love of Kami-sama... Kururu's seiyuu is the very same seiyuu of Nia and Nono (Yukari Fukui), it can't be better!.

It looks like you haven't seen yet the manga of seto no hanayome.

The anime is great and masterpiece and I'm not saying that the manga is bad but if you saw the anime and saw the manga.... the choice is obvious.

but an ova.... I wish for a series.

Oh well I see Kururu and I'm fine with that.

But is different... OG is in the same league of CLAMP in terms of art, no anime could do justice to his work. I'm ok when people say that plotwise OG's works are confuse, but visually his work is amazing.

It's one of the few authors that i really respect his hiatus and breaks, sure it's must be tiring for him and his crew create that sort of manga.

Tenjou Tenge already was a proof of how difficult is to animate OG's work, AG was another proof, Jesus, i can't imagine the whole manga in anime format, that would be so incredible expensive or incredible wrong.

OG's art is awesome for many reasons, first, the outfits... second, the mechanical designs... third, the girls (and yes, the boys too

)... fourth, the scenary...

You would need something near to Paprika's level of production to try to do a little justice for OG's work.

In this OVA it will be a lot of scenes that will put a test to the team working on it.

When the art is rich, you need a rich company to make the anime^^ So, any news as to when the OVA might be out? I never got to watching the anime, but I'm a big fan, don't wanna miss this.
