Hey, you are the type of guy we want in our forum...we just opened a new site with forums...in four days we already have 90 members and over a thousand posts. Anyways, we have the manga readable online for all Naruto episodes and we also have anime DL's and shit like that.

Anyways, since we are new you will get a head start on all the other ppl about to join in. We have a wicked ranking system (check under News in the top category). Since this is only day 5 for our site the search engines havent even picked us up yet so the traffic is not about to flood in yet. But in a week or so it will get crazy busy because we are taking out adds everywhere important and we are are already number 3 on the hyper 100! Anyways, we hope to see you on the forums! I received the same spam, even though I've only posted in the Naruto forum once (maybe twice?) since the AnimeSuki crash. Believe me, I felt so... so DIRTY after posting in there.

I was considering reporting this spam PM before, but I didn't think anyone else received it.

I got it too. But I don't think the spam rule applies to PM, the same way sharing links to licensed material does'nt apply either. As long as he only sends it once then leaves everyone alone I don't think it breaks the rules.

But I could be wrong.

Ideally, that is the case. However, it's completely impossible for the moderators to police over private messages (that would be a huge invasion of privacy). In other words, it's allowed by the moderators and admins, but it's still considered to be "wrong".

On the other hand, I'm sure forwarding spam PMs over and over to the AnimeSuki community without posting a single message in a forum is a bannable offense.

AS forum doesn't check if it's human or not upon registration so it's possible to write phpbot that registers and sends ad PM's. Also you can't really stop this as anyone can use proxy to register and then send PMs...it's just something you have to deal with.

I certainly consider it spam and an invasion of members privacy so I've banned Sourball. I also removed the link to the site from Briareos's post.

Thanks for reporting the issue, it's the sort of thing that you can easily think you may be the only one he sent the PM to. But look at it this way, you are one of the privileged 19 people he considered worthy enough to spam

I wouldn't suggest anyone do the same though, as that is rather childish.
