very nice episode, show continues to be as savvy as ever when it comes to background settings, especially with the Zeta-esque set up, introduction of automated robots (and those eyes...), and the whole "lets not even get into a gundam until halfway through".
Glad they're not bothering to tread over old ground either, and just assume you know what's happening when they talk about Lockon or show various old cast members without explanation. It's a real blessing for Kuroda, who seems to have endless problems writing set ups. And wow does this episode just fly along, a huge improvement over the badly paced first couple months of s1 where two weeks would go by with minimal developments.
For a show I had been completely apathetic about when I walked into it a year ago, it's amazing how exciting everything seems now. Hope the improved animation and faster pacing will continue in the weeks to come.
