Lots of good stuff coming our way, but Tasogare is the one I'm anticipating the most.

I'll just go with a more classic format for this.

Guaranteed to watch: Ozuma, Uchuu Kyodai, Sakamichi no Apollon, Fate/Zero 2, Jormungand
May watch: Accel World, Saint Seiya Omega, Eureka Seven AO, Zetman

damn it, none of the shows I'm interested in watching except Upotte and Kuroko no Basuke have air dates confirmed yet

And whoa, the amount of series Kaioshin has some interest in almost reaches the double digits. This must be the best anime season of all time or something.

I agree with that last part, maybe this is why the world's going to end in 2012.

Actually the last few seasons in a row have been like that for me which is pretty great to be honest. There's just stuff I actually feel like watching instead of just stuff for me to pick through and say, "Well I guess I'll settle for this". Certainly a far cry from a couple years ago in 2010 where I maybe watched 5 shows all year total.

Almost guaranteed to watch:

Natsuiro Kiseki
Original Sunrise anime. Slice of life. Girls are super cute. Great uniform. Potentially immersive drama.

Tsuritama
Nakamura Kenji. I'm liking the art style and aesthetic. Pretty boys.

Sakamichi no Apollon
Directed by Shinichirou freaking Watanabe. Takes place in 1960's Japan, and after watching Brigadoon I realized that I'm starting to like historical settings.

Hyouka
Potentially intriguing mystery. Kyoani guarantees eye-dazzling animation at the very least. Also, the long black-haired girl is a total cutie.

Fate/Zero
Only when the BDs for the whole show come out.

Might watch:

Medaka Box
Because people won't shut up about it. And the manga is apparently going to end, so that leaves an opportunity for a good adaptation.

Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? OF THE DEAD
Oh wow. What a cheesy title. This can go anywhere, really, considering how crazy the show is. I hope it takes after the good first six episodes of the first season rather than the disappointing second half.

AKB0048
I have no idea what drugs the creators were taking when making this. It could prove to be solid entertainment though, considering how we have Kawamori behind it along with what looks to be a monstrous production.

Oh no, it's an ongoing manga adaptation!

These shows have garnered some of my interest, but I'm not likely to watch them because anime adapted from ongoing manga end with original or unsatisfying endings way too often:

Uchuu Kyoudai
Tasogare Otome x Amnesia
Jormungand
Zetman

No, not watching:

Sengoku Collection
You want us to produce another historical anime? ALL RIGHT, MORE SENGOKU BISHOUNEN/BISHOUJO, BECUASE WE DON'T HAVE ENOUGH!!

Upotte
Only thing this seems to have going for it is the gun porn. Oh wait, they're not guns anymore.

Shining Hearts
Because Tony Taka's art style makes me want to puke. If they butcher it to hell, it might grab my interest more though.

The rest:

Everything else I just don't feel like commenting on and I probably won't see unless a lot of people go bananas over them.

It's about time, I was wondering when this thread would show up Though judging from the list, with the exception of the sequels of shows that I've seen, most if not all the new shows are under the 'Give it a chance' because of the response to it rather than 'Definitely will watch'... Hell even some sequels feel dodgy like Zombie...

Eureka Seven AO - Bones
Tasogare Otome x Amnesia - Silver Link
Hyouka - KyoAni
Fate/Zero 2 - Ufotable
Zombie of the dead - Deen
Jormungand - White Fox
Shining Hearts - I.G
Sankarea - Deen
Accel World - Sunrise

In Summer 2011, I've started with 11 shows but ended with 6 (and only 3 that I like)

In Fall 2011, I've started with 10 shows but ended with 7 (enjoyed all of them though)

In Winter 2012, I've started with 9 shows but now I'm down to 6. (Still in love with 5)

I wonder how many would survive the purge this time?

On paper, looks like potentially the strongest season in a couple of years. Of course, that and $1.75 will get you a tall drip at Starbucks.

Spring's looking pretty good.

Guaranteed/Anticipated:
Tasogare Otome x Amnesia
Fate/Zero 2
Kore wa Zombie Desuka? OF THE DEAD
Medaka Box
Kimi to Boku. 2
Sakamichi no Apollon
Tsuritama
Accel World

Will certainly try:
Kuroko no Basuke
Uchuu Kyoudai
Eureka Seven AO
Hyou-ka
Jormungand
Acchi Kocchi
Sankarea
Nazo no Kanojo X
Shirokuma Cafe

Errr, will try if I feel like it:
Ozuma
Shining Hearts ~Shiawase no Pan~ (This would have been a will try if it didn't have the Pan tagline)
Natsuiro no Kiseki
Haiyore! Nyaruko-san
Hiiro no Kakera

Phi Brain 2's fate depends on whether I finish the first season on time and feel like going for more.

Out of everything listed I'd say Accel World, Tsuritama and Sakamichi no Apollon are the ones I'm banking on the most.

Shirokuma Cafe added to my list because of Takahiro Sakurai as a polar bear, FukuJun as a panda and Kamiyan as a penguin.

If recent disappointments with shows I thought I was guaranteed to enjoy have taught me anything it's to never doubt a shows potential to just give up after few episodes and let the rest of a show write itself via use of popular tropes and filler type episodes. Nothing is a given, especially where anime is concerned.

Almost guaranteed/Most anticipated

Uchuu Kyodai
The manga is epic in all possible ways, so this is officialy my most anticipated series.

Sakamichi no Apollon
No need for explanations here, this is gonna be awesome (I like Uchuu Kyodai's manga better though).

Eureka Seven AO
The original is one of my favorite animes of all time, so I'm really hopeful with this.

Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? OF THE DEAD
Seriously, unlike many people, I absolutely loved the first series, I hope this one is just as good as it.

Nazo no Kanojo X
Hope the adaptation lives up to the awesome manga.

Kuroko no Basket
I love the unrealistic nature of the manga and there is a lot of material to cover.

Accel World
Just read the manga, it's awesome, despite the generic boy meets girls premise.

Might watch

Tasogare OtomexAmnesia
I've been keeping myself from reading the manga(which I hear a lot of good things about) so this is an potential hit for me. I just won't put on guaranteed because I never read the original material.

Hyouka
Kyo-ni, huh. Oh well, I don't think this will be an good mistery at all, but it won't hurt to give this a try. It might turn out to be good.

Jormugand
This reminds of Black Lagoon, enough said.

Sankarea
Honestly, I didn't like the manga as much and I don't see how they are going to adapt this with just a few chapters from the ongoing manga, but the anime might be change it for me, who knows.

Medaka Box
I hated the manga, but I only read 10 or so chapters. I hope the anime changes that for me.

Tsuritama
WTF is this? Confusing enough to intrigue me.

Overall this season is extremely promising, if all animes I pointed turn out to be good, I'm screwed.

As great as the synopses look, there are a couple of yellow flags for me. For one, I'm a longtime advocate that the director is a huge factor in how good a series will be, and one of the most underrated. There aren't a lot of top-tier directors working on the new shows, and one of them (Mizushima) is working on a title that sounds pretty uninteresting at first glance.

No one wants to watch the digital remastering of Nadia?

Lots of stuff for me this season:
Mysterious Girlfriend X - Guilty pleasure manga for me even if the pace of the manga is really freaking slow. Also, Urabe is <3
Fate/Zero S2 - This is how F/SN should have been done, by ufotable.
Tsuritama - Two awesome VAs, potentially awesome premise (fishing to save the world?), count me in.
Sakamichi no Apollon - The pair who brought Cowboy Bebop to life working together again. I expect an excellent presentation and an awesome soundtrack. This is my bet for the season.
Natsuiro no Kiseki - It looks pretty and has Toyosaki and Tomatsu in it. Good enough for me.
Hyouka - It's a Kyoto Animation production, and one rather different from their usual fare. Let's see how they do.
Uchuu Kyoudai - Been planning to take a look at the manga for a while , and I'll probably start with this before I pick it up.

Looking like a very good season, thank God I have a lot more free time when April starts.

Definitely watching:

Saki: Achiga-hen
Fate/Zero
Acchi Kocchi!
Kore wa Zombie desu ka II

Just like in the previous season, there are only a few shows that are actually worth watching. Might pick up something else if the reviews are good, but overall this is quite an underwhelming season.

Hmmm... The only thing I'm looking forward to is Eureka Seven AO since I liked the first season. Thus, it goes without saying that I'll definitely be watching that one.

Extra series that I will probably pick up:

Sankarea - the manga was alright. Lost interest, but I wonder if the anime will give me the spark I need.

Kore wa Zombie desu ka? OF THE DEAD - Main protagonist amuses me for some reason.

Tasogare OtomexAmnesia - ...

That's all I guess.
