anyone thinks that karui might be interested in naruto and maybe (hopefully for narusaku fans), she might get jealous. lol
remember she wants a tall, handasome, popular, rich guy. naruto might be ne? rich?(maybe a hidden forutne. lol jk)

tall: not sure if he's considered that tall, looks normal to me
handsome: sure
popular: very much so yes
rich: when he becomes Hokage, sure
strong: definitly

-Tall: He's roughly the same height as Sai which only a few inches away from an adult Kakashi. I'd say that is pretty tall for a 16-year old kid. Well, from the looks of it, he's not shorter than Karui so its a plus for him.

-Handsome: He's no Femto (Berserk), but Naruto isn't ugly either. He'd have a problem if he was bald though

-Popular: Yeah. If nothing else, he's buddies with Gaara, the current Kazekage. That friendship is systematically making Suna/Konoha relations much smoother.

-Rich: He's a genin so I don't think he has much in the National Bank of Konoha. That's the only thing he does not have going for him.

-Strong: Definately. At the very least, he's so far one of the top 5 ninjas in the world (of the ones we have seen anyway).

So he meets 4/5 criteria in the "Black Beauty" Karui's book. Here's hoping she is at least interested

Criteria for Karui's heart.

-Tall: Actually Naruto is much shorter than Sai. Naruto is 166 cm tall. That's about 5'4 1/2" Only Gaara is shorter in his age group. So strike one.

-Handsome: Now this is subjective. I've seen some fans call him hot. Others call him fugly. But he's never had girls drool over him like Sasuke or some other guys. He is more average. Let's call this a Push

-Popular: No question he is popular now. All of Konoha loves him. He won over the Cloud nin quickly. A point for Naruto.

-Rich: Jiraiya use to wipe him out. I have a feeling he is always asking other people to buy him ramen. Strike two.

-Strong: We don't even need to question this. Point for Naruto.

So it's very close. He fits two of the criteria and one is iffy. I hate most crack, but Naruto x Kauri might get some canon behind it. Let's see what happens. Will Karui find the man of her dreams in a blond Konoha ninja? Will Sakura get jealous? And what of poor little Hinata sitting up every night wondering when Naruto will call? Honestly, when I first read this chapter and saw Sakura's reaction I thought "Ok she definitely still likes him (sasuke)"

But now that I think about it more I can also see them as tears of confusion. If you think about it, no one has really ever asked Sakura, at least for a long time, what Sasuke means to her (even though that seems to be the wrong translation according to a previous post). Whenever you see her thinking about sasuke / bringing him back, its just Naruto there with her who is obviously going to encourage her to do so because he made a promise and wants sasuke back. But no one, until now, has questioned her motives. And I think theres a possibility that she doesn't even know herself. If you believe that she's not still in love with sasuke, then why would she want to bring him back? I guess because she told naruto she would help him bring sasuke back, but other than that there's no real reason. Ahhh fuck it maybe I'm wrong i don't know.

Anyway I'm just throwing it out there that maybe she doesn't really even know why she wants sasuke back, she's just kind of been going along with the flow (the flow being Naruto's undying determination to bring him back)

^Im with you... easier questions are often hardest to answer.
Right now Sakura is under heavy PTS (Post Traumatic Stress), that question just blewed up Sakura's head. Remember how Sakura was impacted when she saw Sasuke at Orochimaru's hideout and his indifference and the whole speech about hating and to sever his bonds...

In that occasion, both Naruto and Sakura ended crying, it was Sai who cheered'em up.

I found this manifesto on the ship the other day. I assume it hasn't been posted here, and although it is quite old (nearly three years) it's easily the most intelligent insight I've seen on just about any ship.

Well, to sidetrack back to the title's question, I don't think Sakura deserves Naruto, so I hope he doesn't. What I'd rather is he get over her and go for someone else.... like Hinata... or even better (imho

It's because they take it personally. Either they see themselves as Naruto and are just picking the girl they would like, or they see themselevs as either Sakura or Hinata and are picking the boy they would like.

I hate shipping, generally, okay.

The only reason I haven't joined the anit-shipping brigade is because i think it can be used well and can actually have an effect on the plot, if the writer is good enough. I think Kishi is good enough. And I think Zutarians are scum for putting their own desires above a better plot.
