Which leads me to wonder if the character designer has either never seen Toradora or is doing it on purpose.

@Detective-san yes Iam sure for anyone who has seen Toradora that would be the instant reaction. Heck they might be doing this on purpose for all we know.

There's a new trailer on the noitaminA BRS homepage.

It sounds like it's a reboot of the OVA, rather than a continuation, because Mato is saying Yomi's surname as "Kotoriasobi" rather than "Takanashi", and talking about becoming her friend. Also, it seems like Chariot may be the main villain, rather than DM.

Action look pretty sweet.

Well, the trailer is awesome. Action is very sweet even though it's CG + daily life looks very good too, and I certainly like the operator's work.
Probably the most promising winter anime (even though it's not noitamina in heart).

That trailer is so much better than the first one it's ridiculous. I can only say it's AWESOME! Are the scenes taking place in the other world really 100% CG? I can hardly believe it. If that's the case, then the CG animation in this trailer is one of best I've ever seen (looks so much better than the Berserk movie).

My interest in this series has been successfully reignited.

You can see it's CG though, but since I wasn't one of the CG detractors I have no problems with it.

Really like the new trailer. It's awesome. (I noticed that they showed the same clip of Yomi looking up twice for some reason?) The clip of the supercell song near the end of it was forgettable, though... I am disappoint.

Taiga Wheelchair girl & Chariot seem vicious.

I am pleased. Cool looking characters, kick-ass action scenes, robotic-like foes, surreal environments with gothic elements and a near-psychopathic villain? It's like someone took all the things I enjoy and crammed them all together into this show. Crossing my fingers for an interesting well-executed plot and we have a winner here.~

Btw, in the case of the OP and ED themes, IMO they have to try hard to beat NO SCARED. I loved that song since I first heard it, and that's a hard thing to do.

I wonder if the studio reduced the amount of episodes it has so they could use the remaining budget on making the visuals more impressive? Ultimately it doesn't matter to me, it's just a thought.

.... someone find me the man who thought it was a good idea to give BRS a freaking Gatling Gun. He deserves a pint for his genius

Also, the battle scenes are obviously CG, but they're done quite well from what I'm seeing, even better than from the previous PV.
