As expected, the author got really enthusiastic writing the last couple of books. With chapter 5 starting on page 466, it's going to be the longest volume to date. That Oreimo reference for chapter 1, though. I can't tell if this volume is going to end up serious or comical. Also looks like Meiru got a slight costume change. I don't remember that skull and crossbones belt buckle.

Is there any chance anime Season2 may be being delayed due to Ankaji's crisis resembling the current pandemic?

This week's chapter is out earlier due to the anniversary program airing in a bit. We finally get to meet the loli member of Team Abyss, Hinata Fujiwara.

Some thoughts on the trailer:

So... First things first, the CGI. So far it looks better than some of the monstrosities season 1 brought us. The director mentioned in his comments on the official site that they were working hard on the art and CG so as not to lose to season 1, but that's a pretty low hurdle to clear. I'll reserve judgement until I see more. He also mentioned there will be a lot of action, so it's a bit concerning that the trailer was cut in such a way that it doesn't really display it in any detail. The character movement during the action scenes in season 1 was pretty bad, so I hope they'll do a better job of it, but nothing so far is inspiring confidence in that regard.

As far as content is concerned, it has only shown material up to volume 6. Hopefully that means they won't go beyond that point, but I wouldn't be surprised if they did either. After all, the trailers for season one didn't show too much, but still went all the way through volume 4.

Come to think of it, just about everything in that trailer besides the Neunte stuff could be from the first episode or two if the pacing is anything like season one.

Is her name's reading really Fujiwara? I'm using Kuzuhara right now, should I change it?

Since the author didn't include any furigana for the name, I just did a search online and Fujiwara was the most popular result. Historically, there's also a rather famous Fujiwara clan in Japan that uses the same kanji.

I just got around to reading the latest of the Tortus trip chapters and this stood out to me the most in that last chapter... Hajime's parents first met because they had cosplayed as a miko/priest to sneak into a temple coincidentally at the same time and were caught.

Picked up a copy of Zero volume 5 and the latest volumes of the main story and Zero mangas. I'm just getting into the reading, so my full review will come sometime later. I did take a peek at the afterword, though, and it confirms that volume 6 will be the final volume for Zero. On the manga side, volume 8 came with a pretty funny bonus comic in addition to its normal short story. Tio's bondage outfit is definitely way too intense for a family friendly audience.

I saw that DNA Media Comics had tweeted about it this morning, but I haven't seen any official announcements yet. I wouldn't be too surprised if Arifureta's account retweets it in a day or two. They do a lot of comic anthologies, so from what I can tell it seems legit.

Judging by Kouki's mopey expression, it's from when they first return to Heiligh's capital after their reunion with Hajime. Next is what looks to be a flashback of Lily meeting the classmates when they were first summoned as we see her chatting with Shizuku and the others while they were in school uniform. Hajime's narration mentions the battle and reunion they just had in Orcus as well as Kaori joining the party, and then goes on to state their next goal of getting Myuu home to Erisen and that the demons are beginning to move as the scene transitions into the desert. The sandworms put in a appearance, and then it cuts to the Maou castle. Fried is doing the typical bad guy brooding with another demon in attendance, probably Mikhail as the scene is likely from the beginning of volume 5. Following that, we see some of Gruen Volcano. We get a look at the Impact Conversion effect newly added to Shea's hammer as she bashes in the brains of that poor magma ox. After that is an earlier scene of Kaori healing Bize and Yue filling the reservoir at Ankaji. Finally it cuts to a roughed up Hajime flanked by his cross bits and Neunte is revealed.
