Hey all! I've been lurking around for a bit and decided to do a cover of singing on le guitar. Tell me what you think! I messed up at the end cause I dropped my pick but I just wanted to throw something together quickish. I plan on doing a full cover of a song (like my own one man band cover lol) eventually, but I'm not sure what song. Anyways, hope you enjoy!

Btw, I suck and I play in drop D cause I use to play (and sorta still do) hard rock and stuff of the like. I have a floyd rose so I can't really adjust the 6th string without retuning all of the other strings about 6 times. If I do that though then my bridge will be at a 45 degree angle, which is never good. I plan on doing the solo once I got it down better than I do now by a lot lolz.

Also is Singing really in Drop D? I've been playing it in E standard lol

Yea it is actually lol. Also I just play everything in drop D, I just transpose the 6th string whenever I play anything.

Movie OSTs? You mean the insert songs, right? The delivery estimate is March 2-March 5. I don't know what order people would prefer I tab them in, so I'm reopening my tabbing request list (see my signature). Scanning briefly through the thread, I see Singing! and Hikari, so I might start with those.

If the book arrives March 2 I can probably get most or all of the songs done over the weekend, otherwise I'll do them all during the week. Shouldn't be too hard, there's only 5 songs this time around.

For the record, I'd really like Singing!, but it'd be a bit selfish of me if I'm the only one that wants it when other people want songs.

Whichever is more convenient for you. Anyway, that's two requests for Singing so I'll prioritize that first. Actually, anyone want to see me try and slam out all 5 songs in a row, marathon style? I think it could be a fun challenge, I'll do it on Saturday if the book arrives on that Friday, or on Tuesday otherwise.

Gosh, is it really already time for the last music book? It feels like this whole series has gone by so fast.
Excited to finally see the movie once it's subbed.
Oh, and I just finished messing with a music box soundfont I found, did a cover of Yasei no Joutensu. Given how Mugi's songs seem to be calmer than the other characters', it seemed like a pretty easy conversion.


And to Goggen and LightMusicBand, thanks for the kind words about my other cover! Still learning how to use the NES software, but it's good to know I'm showing some kind of improvement.

Hello K-ON! Music thread! As one of the many people who were inspired to learn an instrument thanks to this wonderful show, I decided to try and record a cover of Singing!

But yeah, I was also inspired to play guitar from K-on. I was kinda embarrassed about it at first, but then I thought sod that. I thought guitar would be too hard for me to learn, but I stuck with it and I ended up where I am now after about a year and a bit of INTENSE practice

I still need to do my Singing! cover. I'll probably get around to it after I'm done with this block of exams I have coming up. I'm currently learning a few songs from the OST, like Pasadena Fwy and Hold On Your Love. I'm stuck on some of the runs, so I'll get my teacher to help me out at my next lesson.

K-on has some REALLY awesome songs though, even in the OST.

The bit at 0:54 gives me goosebumps every time I hear it.

But yeah, sorry if I'm not posting as many covers over the next few months. I've got my GCSE exams coming up. I'll still probably keep playing guitar as much as I do normally, and I'll still be posting, but I'll probably not be doing as many covers due to me revising or being stressed haha
