First ep is not too bad...Looks like an empire vs empire war story for now..But Roy, what's he doing using a bow in melee lol. Guess it works though

My favorite part of the episode was definitely the man calling other people fools that brings a bow into close-range combat

. Yeah, he was doing fairly well all things considered. But just bring a sword with you dude.

Maybe I need to check out the summary again or something. I still didn't really get from this episode why the princess is pretending to be a guy and living in hiding. The country didn't fall as far as I can see.

Wouldn't it have been easier to just cut her hair and paint it black than to have this whole charade? The second someone (the MC obviously) touches her body they will what she really is due to her curves.

Meanwhile, I expect a lot of soldiers and the MC to feel confused when looking at "his" ass in those obviously tight pants.

A bit bland but nothing offensive. Didn't expect the female trap angle. I'll give it 1 or 2 episodes more but so far I'm not feeling it.

Paint by numbers series

Honestly I wish would learn that it isn't the genre but the world or character building that makes some copies great where others fail. World is bland and so are the characters, I'll check next episode if anything interesting comes up

Pretty decent overall. Classical fantasy. The maid is a bit overwrought, but since I like classical fantasy a lot, this is straight up my alley, just like King's Raid.

More than likely it will turn out evil Pope(is there any other kind in anime?) was controlling the King into doing some EVIL so stupid werewolf King played into his hands by killing the King(forced to be EVIL) letting the Pope put his favorite shota(evil Pope again) on the throne.

Generic evil church makes it appearance, because clearly it can't be a "fantasy" anime without one of those. It doesn't help that this is based on the story from a game so it's double generic.

Either way still enjoying it, even if it is super generic, I just hope that they quickly drop the nonsensical "disguise" for the princess, especially since she is already acting like she would if was still known to be a girl.

Spear guy joined the Team this week.

I am hoping to see the spear wielding woman again who was in the first episode: Adelied or something like that. Ever since I watched Moribito many years ago I seem to enjoy seeing female spear warriors.

Yeah, you have weird stuff like the enemies leaving despite having an upper hand and the princess not being able to beat anyone including nameless soldiers, and you know, all of that convenient stuff, but I don't really expect that much from these types of anime.
