Holy shit that was funny. Inferno cop is the chief of this space patrol unit and this nigga is funny af. Im glad trigger decided to actually animate this time around. The jokes had me dead. For a short 7 minute series Ill def keep track with this one. Trigger done it again with the wacky comedy.

Worth following, at least for the moment. I usually enjoy these "Japanese in other world" stories and it definitely doesn't take itself too seriously (what's with all the gun turrets and missiles on the roofs?). The ED was imaginatively done.

so Inferno Cop's final form that is equivalent to the Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann or what ever the extra final form is from the movies is Over Justice?
the suit that made Luluco turn into a gun reminds me of that terrible Marvel toyline where the characters turn into weapons, including Spiderman, also responsible for the Punisher dick cannon meme pictures online, well Kamen Rider Decade did it too with the Final Form Ride gimmick but much better. |

I can just imagine the next episode. She storms into the patrol office shouting "There's so many things wrong with this that I don't know where to begin oh yes I do WHOSE BRIGHT IDEA WAS IT TO MAKE ME A GUN THAT FIRES FROM BETWEEN MY LEGS!!??" Someone has a lot of explaining to do.
EDIT: changed the statement, after looking again, the gun barrel doesn't come out from her crotch, it just moves to where her crotch should be. Too bad, that would've been hilarious. Last edited by BWTraveller; 2016-04-01 at 19:11. |

It was fun.
To be quite honest, Trigger's over-the-topness is not really my thing but it was ok. I think the 8min show format is also helping a lot because I'm sure I wouldn't stand something like for 20 minutes lol Will keep watching for now. |

Episode 1
This was quite amusing. The ridiculousness is done right here. Luluco wants to live a normal life in her abnormal city. Her dad accidently eats freeze pills which were present on the table for some inexplicable reason and he freezes up. Lol he even breaks. Luluco goes to his office to have him fixed and she meets the flaming skeleton officer who arrests her twice and frees her twice. Lol that was stupid. And poor Luluco has to become a space patrol officer to earn money to fix her dad and to stop aliens she turns into a gun. That was all stupid. Poor Luluco's normal life has been ruined in a flash. |

Not a whole lot to it so far, but lots of promise. Humor is pretty good for what is basically an introduction episode, given the short format. Particularly loved the frozen father breaking into pieces (complete with exposed brain!), since it shows that the writers have no problem at all "going there". And loving the simple, cartoonish animation and art style.
This series just furthers my opinion that TRIGGER needs to option the rights for Panty & Stocking and make a second season. The art style is certainly cut from the same cloth, and we know TRIGGER has an eye for raunchy humor. Heck, even the short format might be appropriate, given that Gainax did mostly short episodes the first time around, just crammed into a half-hour episode format.

Hmm ... this type of humor/visuals combo has never been my sorta thing, and the first ep didn't do much for me - for now I will set it aside, I think. (Although for some reason I kinda liked the oddly sung ED.)
